"How do you do anchors on here? Ie. there are going to be headings at the top, the plan is click on what you need and the page will scroll down to reliant bits."
This forum has limited HTML support so I don't think inserting name tags is possible. There is a work around but you would need to create a new message for each section. You can then link headings to each section without name tags.

"parcelmachine and this vat issue. are they registered or not?"
Parcelmachine, Express packages, Direct Parcel Distribution are all Shipping-Manager clones. I think direct parcel might be using their own DHL account but Parcelmachine & Express packages are booking via Shipping-Manager. Parcelmachine are not VAT registered & only claim the VAT is added to make the price look more appealing. For the UK section you might as well promote shipping-manager instead so customers can get a better price & service. Or promote another company that is offering something different.
payperparcel's cut-off is? Also any reassurances on the pre paid front, hallmarks of ppw, parceltree etc. very risky as paypal provides no protection.
cut-off is 10am. Parcels booked using the 1-4 day service must be very low priority. The longer DHL have your parcel the more change of damage or loss so my advice is use the 1-2 day service instead.
As for pre paid credits I still use them & am not worried. Just be sensible & only prepay for what you need each day. At the moment I buy a few credits from parcelcheap each day & get next day DPD delivery for £9.30. I've also prepaid with shipping-manager & parceltogo in the past without any problems. I would be more worried if there is no option to pay by Paypal. I always get worried entering my credit card details directly. Paypal is always the best option! Also Interparcel should not be surcharging customers to use Paypal, it's not allowed.
My question is has anyone had a successful claim with Freightsearch & how long does it take? I put a claim in with Freightsearch for a lost parcel over a month ago. In the last few weeks they have ignored my emails. I did get a phone call from an Australian guy on Friday but he couldn't give me any answers. So is the insurance Freightsearch offer real or a con. I find it a bit strange they are the only DHL reseller offering £100 insurance. How long should a claim for loss with DHL take?0 -
I think there is no difference between 1-2 days service and 1-4 days service. Interparcel is ok, we have booked with them many times by credit card. I do prefer paypal as a payment method as well. We had a problem with interparcel recently. finally problem is solved last week. It 's shame as i spent near £30 telphone bill to contact them in 4 days. probably they are very busy this month.0

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place, I don't know what I am doing yet!!
My friend wants to send some cheap plasterboard over to Tipperary, Southern Ireland (where it is much more expensive) where he is building a house. Does anyone know where I can find cheap delivery for 2 pallets, one weighing 2000kg and the other 2500kg?
Many thanks0 -
I need to send an item which is worth about £180 it weighs about 8kgs who's the cheapest and hopefully the best .
I've used parcels2go in the past with no problems but they have been low value items I'm a bit more concerned with this item0 -

Anyway, I'm not interested smartparcel man, this thread isn't for re-seller managers to come crying. I recommend spending more time improving your service, I've read three threads on ebay slating you, here is one.....and yes I know it's impossible to please everyone in this business and yes they could all be made up, but why would people go to that effort as you're just a nobody in a very big market. MHD arsed areound in here and went on the avoid list, they have just come off and you have just gone on. Sweet.
What I am interested in is:
I can't really continue the update without answers to this. If I don't get something soon we'll have to look at putting other people in there.

NB: we can have an exception here and it can come from the horses mouth.
Hi Armitage - I have sent you a PM relating to this question on PayPerParcel, but here goes in here too as you stated it was an exception to post so you can update the front page, so here goes, please dont shoot me down
http://www.payperparcel.co.uk
* Cut off is 10AM, but can be extended till 12:30 on request - we find this works well with the new customers and DHL, rather than DHL receiving a lot of requests at 12:30 and addresses are not known to them previously.
* Pre-Pay - We have a nice growing business and we do not base our entire business on the DHL reselling, therefore we are able to offer a very competitive price and offer excellent service but in addition to this offer eBay store designs and ecommerce solutions so there is no need to fear here, pre-pay is used to avoid the bank charges etc but a new scheme is coming soon.
* Prices - They are from £6.69 + VAT for the ad-hoc and £5.20 for the regular senders sending at least 10+ per day, note that DHL prices will go up in Jan 2009 as with the others.
I hope this is clear and to the point and any problems buzz me back.
Cheers

There is more than a £2 difference between 1-4 day service & the 1-2 day service.
Maybe the 1-4 day service Payperparcel are offering is the same as the 1-2 day service Freightsearch are offering just worded differently. It would make sense as the pricing is very similar & the 24hr service Freightsearch is not guaranteed so really it's a 1-2 day service. Payperparcel charge £10.50 for a 1-2 day service so don't really deserve much exposure & they hide behind their VAT exclusive price.
I don't like it when online companies advertise the price exclusive of VAT. The main purpose of this must be to lure in customers. The majority of customers will not be VAT registered so to advertise it without VAT is ridiculous. Why not put the real price & then if you really have to put a VAT exclusive price as well. Don't wait until the last stage of booking to add the VAT. Just be honest & upfront with your pricing, it will be appreciated.
I agree with desert, Interparcel are OK however booking can be slow & they shouldn't surcharge paypal payments. If you had paid using Paypal then you would have been able to claim against them speeding up the response time & avoiding expensive phone calls. That’s probably why Interparcel encourage customers not to use Paypal by surcharging.
Has anyone had a successful claim with Freightsearch for a lost parcel & if so how long does it take? I've been waiting over a month now, is this normal?0 -

No no no, we can't have everyone offering services on here. Can of worms- really is. I'm afraid you have to use traditional methods and perhaps word of your good service and price will filter on to here by legitimate means.
Why should the likes of saletrack, payperparcel, p4d, express packages plus the many others who have never spammed follow the rules, when others just openly flout them?
So Paul and Greg, that's enough.0
