  • BAD NEWS

Just got this email from Paypal

    Dear *****,

After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
    Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favour, however, we were unable to recover any
    funds from the seller's account
. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement,
recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

So it looks like they have done a runner with our money

  • U.K Courier Express
dont offer a parcelforce service after parcelcheep went off line , i wonder why ,, not a trustworthy company at all

I never used the parcelforce service but I believe uk courier express stopped using it before parcelcheap went off line.
As for trustworthy, I have to speak as I find, it's the only company that I've never had a problem with.
Hopefully others will have used them and can share their experiences too.
I fail to see what it has to do with parcelcheap going off line.

Yes it was PPW. No doubt you will get the same email tomorrow.
Paypal guarantees are worthless. Paypal can only place a hold on funds if the funds are still there.
Once a devious seller has withdrawn the funds there is very little that Paypal can do and let's face it PPW have been very devious.
It rather makes a mockery of Paypals new stance of 'Your purchase is protected with Paypal - whatever the amount' plastered everywhere

Paypal forgot to add 'but only if the funds are still in the sellers account'
I'm no legal expert but surely that is a misleading message and Paypal SHOULD refund the money!

I think what was being suggested at was UK C E were using parcelsheaps parcel force account. I have no idea my self, my only observation would parcelforce accounts seem pretty rare, and not very long lasting. The other thing I would input is my gut feeling is saying that there must be a pretty strong chance that they are using parceltree's DHL account- almost everyones prices have gone up now apart from 'someone' who's playing a game of brinkmanship with DHL and larger companies who are selling it at a loss as marketing ploy.

The latter has been deduced form what I know of the current situation. All I have is circumstantial and haven't got the time or will power to go investigating it.
