If PPW haven't gone bust, then why haven't they refunded everybody?
Surely that should be the first priority if they intend setting up again.
I will personally never use PPW again (even if they have the cheapest rates) because so far, it looks like they have taken our money and done a runner.
Once bitten twice shy I'm afraid. I don't think I could trust PPW again after this latest fiasco and if they do merge with parceltree, well least said....
As for it being parcel2go's fault, If that were the case, surely parceltree would have gone too.
Whatever the reason for PPW closing down, it has nothing to do with parcel2go that PPW are refusing to refund our hard earned cash!
They seems to think it's buyers prerogative to put in paypal claim and then they will respond as necessary. Response to mine has be zero (due by 18th), would I use them again; certainly not if we don't get our money back and what we have now is vastly superior anyway. I'll be more scathing once/if we get our money back.;)0 -

Do you have to print labels and which courier do they use?
Oh and can you pay by Paypal?
Basically it's just like having an account with DHL (but it's technically a sub account through Sale Track so the rates are superior), so no writing out in the yellow book which means the driver is come in gone in seconds. You get an actual account number, you print the labels, you can make bookings right up until the driver comes at your set collection time. No paypal, you just add funds with your card as you require. All controlled through the online interface which is easy to use. They're pretty big company and have a website and marketing arm too. They are plus vat, but still cheaper, £10 to NI, £6.80 (max) business24/ home 48 and go down to about £4.60 inc vat.
Hazarding a guess 250 parcels/month would be £6.20'ish inc vat.
There's no fees so you can get set up with them and you don't have to use them.
Edit: The rate you pay changes in multiples of 50, of you monthly volume.0 -
Thanks Armitage.
Another question, if you dont have to use the yellow book, what proof do you have that you have sent a parcel?
I would seriously consider using them if you didn't have to print labels.

It creates a manifest for you, when your driver comes you just press print. You can also print the labels all at once.
Out of interest does your driver leave you a book and labels to fill out your self or does he fill it in him self each time?
You can also track each parcel as you would expect, it also keeps running totals of how many you send each day and on what service. I'll post a few screen shots tonight. It's really a step up from anything we've used.0 -

Okay *thick head on* explain 'it creates a manifest for you' and 'when your driver comes you just press print'
Press print on what?
I have a yellow book and labels to fill out myself. That's why I prefer using DHL because I have a good rapport with the driver.
I know what time he collects and on the odd occassion that he has arrived earlier than his norm and I haven't been ready, he comes back at his usual time.I hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0 -
Basically you enter post code and select address, Xhowever many parcels you have and then you print the labels (same as parcel2go labels) by clicking one button.
Then when or any time before your driver comes you click 'print daily collection manifest'- 4 sheets of paper, two for you and two for your driver (they are totally different to the manual yellow ones). Then when the DHL driver comes he enters your account number into his scanner thing, scans the parcels, signs the manifest and away he goes.
Same, we had our own book too (apparently not protocol). Always a pain when it was filled out for parcels where he got a copy of the booking before he left the depot and then hunting for each parcel individually to stick the label on. At some points during the summer he was with us for around an hour! Needless to say he thinks the new system is much improved.
Edit: If you have a nose round the other parcels in the van it's more than likely you will see parcels with Sale Track printed in the top right of the label. Two other companies on our drivers run use them!0 -

Sounds too complicated for me LOL
I literally address my parcels, stick the labels on (I have a pad of labels left by the driver), fill out the details in the yellow book before the driver arrives.

Some screen captures coming.....
In the meantime I forgot to mention you can add the customers email to the booking so they will be informed when it's collected and also when it's out for delivery. Also you get free DHL bags and doc wallets.0 -

Also, anyone notice a lot more DHL@home parcels are getting delivered on Saturdays?0 -
Help!! I`ve been using Prepaid Parcel for sometime but sadly I had to put in a claim last week,I emailed all the details to them but just my luck the very next day they went offline. I`ve tried speaking to DHL directly regarding the claim, but they just don`t want to know or help in anyway.
Can anyone help me or advise me on what I should do please?0
