Have committed myself to making them now as I've just ordered 50 cones!! Well you do need 2 per soup so it's only a max of 25!!!

Here's my snowman soup for my boys and OH (and one for me otherwise I will be left out!). I've got a mug each for them to go with it. I'm not sure whether to give it to them on Xmas Eve or Xmas Day? Xmas Eve I think with the other bits and bobs I've got/doing for the boys. I used 2 qunatities of instant hot chocolate (Cadburys), sprinkling of chocolate chips and enough marshmallows for 2 mugs.

Those look immensely polished and professional in presentation!

    Well done!

Rainmac what have you written on the little tags? Also are there any insturctions on how to do it all? I was going to do something similar to this and add some marshmellows on sticks then cover them in chocolate and then its used as the spoon to stir it all together, i saw it in a shop in bath. xx

Here's another gift tag for snowman soup- colourful!
    http://organizedchristmas.com/printable/gift-tags/snowman-soup-recipe

There's a pdf version of the tag too. If you look above at the bar and click on 'holiday gifts and crafts' you'll find instructions and tags for other goodies. I really like the snowman and reindeer poop!!!!! (marshmallows and choc raisins or maltesers!) We made those for the kids in the youth group we're involved in.
I'm giving snowman soup to a few people this year. I found some great christmas mugs with snowmen on them in a charity shop earlier this year for something silly like 30p each. I'm going to put a variety of sachets in (ordinary hot choc, mint choc, orange etc) plus marshmallows, candy cane (or choc dipped spoons- not sure yet) and will enclose the whole thing in cellophane and tied with a bow and a mini pom-pom snowman.

Quillion asked me to post this one this thread hope it helps :D

    CANDY CANES MAKES AROUND 40

    you will need
200g unsalted butter , at room temperature
    150g caster sugar
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 egg
    300g plain flour , sifted
    red food colouring
Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl with a hand mixer.

Beat in the vanilla and egg, then add the flour. Beat until smooth, remove from the bowl and separate it into two.

Blend one half with red food colouring, adding until you get the colour you want.

Wrap both in clingfilm and chill for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.

Roll both doughs out to 5mm thick. Cut into 1/2 cm strips and chill for 5-10 minutes until slightly firm. Take one of each colour, then press on top of each other. Press the ends together then carefully twist and roll them so they become a smooth rope. Shape into a candy cane and put on a baking sheet lined with baking paper (you might need to chill the dough between rollings if it gets too soft). Chill for 10 minutes then bake for 8 minutes. Cool on a baking rack

    decorate with ribbons
