Hmm...do you think something similar would work using cappacino, vermicelli SIZE=1]sp! but mean chocolate strands!![/SIZE & cinnamon sticks for adult versions?

I was going to use coffee for my Dad's as he doesn't drink hot choc (and prob for OH too) but hadn't thought about using cinnamon sticks and choc strands so thanks for that idea!

I think you will struggle using chocky strands I tried to grate up some chocky, however all of the bits forced their way down between the 2 cones and looked a mess. the hot chocky you put in a cone and tie off then place inside another cone so there is a slight gap for crumbs etc to fall down.

OK will rethink the choc strands but what about using coffee? do you think that would work?

do you think I could make a white choc dipped spoon? sorry, i'm sure you're chuckling at the simplicity but I'm really not a crafty/homemade type person? Would I just dip a plastic spoon into white choc? How could I package it up? thanks all :)

I booked marked this ages ago, I haven't tried it myself but looks good. I imagine white chocolate would be exactly the same (?)

I mentioned to Rainmac about trying a coffee one but that was as far as I went. I never tried to do anymore about it as I wanted to do the chocky ones first.

Candy canes at Wilkos are always 99p for 12 and bogof - the cheapest I've ever found them - although they are only the plain red and white, not the green, red and white that look so good in the pictures.

I got my canes from Sainsburys as it was the first place I'd seen them but the Wilkos deal mentioned by earthmother is fab (I'd forgo green on my canes to get BOGOF anyday ;) .
