Has anyone thought about how we can adapt this idea to use it throughout the year? Valentine 'kisses' spring to mind & maybe little Easter treats....
Or would it spoil the effect for next year's Soup

  • way ahead of you there! we were talking about this the other week....
we reckon milkshake mix instead of hot choc, how pretty all those different colours would look,
for easters you could keep the marshmallows or swop them for those peep things, or mallow shapes... like flumps, yellow ribbon and maybe a chick tied to it,
valentines - red ribbon and red foil wrapped sweets
even just birthday presents, blue or pink ribbon and apropriate sweets... footballs or ... sugar mice etc
  • Here are my Snowman Soup. My 5 yr old helped me (well ate half the ingredients!)

Thanks to all for the fab ideas and tips on how to make then etc... I am really pleased with them and they look great much better than i thought.

Ps the basket they are sitting in i brought from the 99p stores for anyone needing any for hampers!

I wonder what wording we could use for the tags if we were making them with milkshake powders and other bits, would love to start making these now to keep by lol

I can't believe you're thinking past Christmas already - are you sure you don't want to come and give me a hand?! Still, you got me thinking, and what about giving them to drivers for New Year's Eve? That means you could get stuck in now!

I couldn't get the instructions to rhyme, but they could go at the bottom of the tag?

    E.g.

Fed up with soft drinks at New Year?
    Try this for a change
It will keep you full of cheer
And worry not ’bout cops in range!

Add hot milk/water to powder, sprinkle with goodies and enjoy!
  • Ive just made my 1st snowman soup and added the marshmallow after the hot chocolate mixture :( ruined the marshmallows, all eaten up now :) )

Good job i was experimenting and only messed one up LOL
  • Does anybody know if the 50x icing bags at lakeland are cellophane, or at least the material that everyone else are using?
