capital one credit classic limit increases please input feedback

Just got off the phone with them, after speaking to two people from a foreign call centre, and getting hung up on once, I've been told they can't access my account due to the security system they have in place and therefore can't help me.

Nice one Capital One. :mad:

EDIT: @Loopy Girl, just out of curiosity, what design did you pick?

I started with £100. Just got my 4th statement and now its £300.

I usually spend about £90 per month on the card, make the minimum payment by DD around 20th then pay the rest of the balance when I get paid at the end of the month. I have just spent £220 of my £300 limit so wont use it again this month.

Mine started at £1000 (about two years ago) then upped to £1250 and nothing since.

Paid in full at first, then went through about six months of paying about double minimum payment. Paid it off in full around January and haven't used it since. Had three lots of blank cheques sent in that time though.

In regards of my own experience, I have a Cap 1 Mastercard opened in 2002. I had a really poor credit rating. The opening limit was £250 and I remember it went up within the first year to £1,100 (about 3 increases in that period).

For about 3 years after that - nothing. Then they replaced my card with a new Gold Mastercard back in 2005 (I didn't apply or ask for a new card) with an increased limit of £3,200. About a year ago when the card expired they sent me a bog standard card design (apparently they no longer do Gold cards anymore? ) and my limit still remains at £3,200.

I finally got hold of someone who was willing to help me. My card should be here by next friday "at the very latest", apparantly.

Oh, he was also kind enough to confirm they gave me a £200 limit. *goes to vote in the poll*

Seems theres quite the backlog of card orders

Well when I had my capital one card before they did the 4th limit increase they gave me a £200 limit and then erm that was it lol, was with them for 3 years got a new card as the old one expired and it was still erm £200 lol so I closed it down and moved onto main stream
