I had an opening ]balance of £200 about 4 yrs ago...still have it no increases at all
Never missed a payment either
Quick question....
If I need to purchase an item costing £500 but my credit limit is £200, can I put in extra £300 into my Card account so that I can pay the £500?
The online retailer does not accept Electron card which I only have that.
I'm not sure if capital one allow this..you would need to call them up and ask them.0 -
Well no Capital one card today, so I called told by next Friday, found out my limit £500 I told them nicley that they could cancel the application as Im sick of waiting, to which they put me through to someone who did this, dont need the hasstle for £500 not seen as though Ive been approved for the flybe and Thomas Cook Cards, oh and what a job it was to understand them and them me, I think I did the right thing here.0

Didn't post last night as had a wisdom tooth out yesterday and was feeling v sorry for myself
:(
anyways...card didn't arrive either so phoned and got the 'guaranteed for next week malarkey' so went off my napper and asked to speak to a manager. Was told I would get a call back and rather surprisingly I did get a phone back within 10 minutes!!! and from an english speaking person who was in Customer Relations!!
Turns out (or so she says) that my card ws actually posted to me on 25th September!!! Which is the day I got my pin. She explained that there had been a problem with a certain batch of applications but mine wasn't in there. When I questioned why I hadn't been told this before she had no answer but promised the associates involved would be told of the issue'. Hmmm, not got much trust in any promises made by them. She then tried to turn it round and blame Royal Mail and whilst I agreed I would take it up with them, it still didn't detract from the fact I had ben lied to and I could have got this sorted out days ago had I known the card went missing...
Upshot is that a new account has to be made for me, with a new card and pin printed. Asked how long this would take and was told 7 to 10 days...so now I have to wait until 24th Oct before chasing them though she said she would ask for this to be put on 'priority'. We'll see...
If it wasn't for the fact that this is going to help me I would have told her to shove her card...but no point cutting off my nose to spite my face I suppose!0
