darcy, it's only a credit card, not the end of the world if it turns up a few days late...

    Mine was: starting at £500

    3 months later: £1100

Will find out next month if they put it up, though I'll probably switch to a 0% one soon.

I think geting the card is really irrelevant to be honest. You are told by a company that something will be sent and it's not and then you get a guarantee and it's still not. And the reason given (bearing in mind this is a c/c company) is that 'they are having problems producing plastic'.

This may be a non UK based call centre and they are reading off scripts but to be spoken to like you are a complete muppet is frankly disgusting.

It's a bit like when you wait in for a delivery man and he doesn't come...and then you get told again...and he doesn't come...and then you get a guarantee he's coming - and he doesn't come - how hacked off would you be.

I bet your bottom dollar that the debt recovery department is UK based though. Companies like this are quick enough to take your money but hell mend you if you are late but it's okay to palm your customers off with pathetic reasons. No, the card not arriving isn't really the point methinks - well, not for me anyway.

  • I also having the same problem. Received PIN last Monday, call customer service today and the answer is wait till 17th Oct.
I think the whole container of new cards has been stolen by counterfeiters.

    Quick question....
If I need to purchase an item costing £500 but my credit limit is £200, can I put in extra £300 into my Card account so that I can pay the £500?
The online retailer does not accept Electron card which I only have that.
