I noticed that about the legs, they are definately starting to get tired quicker than I am getting out of breath now but only just, and I have been running a week. I've just signed up for a 12 mile walk next month, so I have to fit in some training for that as well, in for a penny in for a pound, and all that!!

I stopped smoking with the wonder drug Champix, I have the Allen Carr book and keep meaning to read it.

Talking of seeing results... I've managed to put on half a stone since I started according to the wii fit. I give up - what's the flaming point?
A lot of people have posted their wii fit is inaccurate. You might find it better to keep a record of your measurements - my thighs have definitely got thinner!

Mine is, I found out because I got new digital scales. I think it's because the Wii fit is on carpet. My digital scales weigh me a stone lighter on carpet than on hard floor, the Wii fit is about half a stone less.
Much as I prefer the lighter measurements, I'm going by the one I assume to be the most correct ;)

I have gained a few lbs too, but I have lost cms which was actually what I was aiming for. Measure yourself with a tape measure, and then use the same tape measure in a few weeks.

Go and try if you can :) You will feel better for it even if you only do a little bit

I was just out and was rubbish :( I was pushing too hard though to try and pick up the pace and ended up running less than normal  never mind it will come in time I know.

Well. I am temporarily giving up. My legs just cannot take it, I am in agony with them.

I haven't run or done any serious exercise since leaving school (I'm 34 now) and I think that I am over doing it. I am coming back - I intend to, but I think I will wait until I have dropped some more weight as I do believe that part of the problem is having to plod along dragging my sorry mass around.

Almost up to half of week 1 - can scrape 4 1 minute runs... rather flatteringly though I managed to break the treadmill :-/

Going out was rewarded by the heartwarming sight of seeing a complete moron undertaking me on the way home by blasting down a bus lane on the main road.... right into a parked police car :D

Keep up the weight loss - you've done great!

Maybe try some lower impact exercise for a bit. Then when you're fitter you can try again. Swimming is supposed to be good, but just choose something you enjoy.
