    Can I join please?

Came across this thread the other day and was inspired!

Used the running track at the gym this morning and thought I was going to burst - ironically I thought run 5 & 6 to be the hardest and was suprised that 7 & 8 didn't seem as bad.

Persuaded OH to come with me as I didn't want to run on my own the first time.....and I didn't have a clue on how to work the ipod.:o

At the end of it I was beetroot and fit to burst whereas OH looked like he had only done a warm up.

Anyhow went in the pool after to cool down and did 12 lengths, so it's all good!

Hopefully I will still be able to walk tomorrow!

I'm not sure if I'm gonna go running tonight.

I felt all weird and dizzy, and then decided the best cure was chocolate. So now I feel dizzy and sick.

  • How guilty have I felt for the past couple of weeks! I have been missing in action as have had too many social activities to go to the gym (or maybe just couldnt face it :o).

Started again tonight and thought that I should go back to the week that I had been on before the break. I thought that this was Week 3 and started listening happily. Realising that the music did not sound familiar the choice was to restart the podcast or continue.

Continue it was. Oh dear - how long is three minutes when you are trying to run!

The scary thing is there was a guy on the treadmill opposite who was either smiling at me or possibly laughing at me trying to run. Little unsure of which but most likely to be the latter - especially during the eye rolling once the next run was due to start :rotfl:.

Have just noticed that there is a group for all Facebook addicts dedicated to 'Couch to 5k'.

  • Just come back from another flat 3 miles. I think I've sweated on my iPod and killed it . I washed the last one which was obviously my fault, but I'm really annoyed about this one.

I took it really gently as I was still a bit tired from yesterday's escapades (got lost on a dog walk and had to climb up and out of Nidd Gorge twice :o) but I felt quite energetic this morning once I got going. I think the comparatively good weather is helping me to stick to a schedule - I find it too easy to find something else to do if it's too cold/rainy/windy.

Thanks for the Facebook link Charlies50. :)
