I did my first run of week 5 yesterday! And I messed it up
I somehow ran further than intended on the first 2, so ended up reallllllly far away from home for my last run. I wasn't quite sure where I was, so I walked back until I got to somewhere I knew and then ran the rest of the way. It worked out that I did 2 5min runs and then 1 slightly longer, but I also had more walking.
And then today I went to the gym, and did it properly but on a treadmill. I didn't use the podcast, though - I used my own music and just kept an eye on the time.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

So I've been really lazy the past couple of weeks, someone needs to kick me up the backside to get me moving again! I only did one run last week
I got an email today though, to say that I won a 'Parky iPod'it's a black 8gb iPod Nano
I'm so chuffed! That should encourage me
and I'll actually be able to choose which week to do without having to search through them, and I'll be able to have my songs on too!
I've been using my iPod shuffle, it just complicates things so I didn't put music on it too. I'm so happyJust because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

If you don't run, you'll undo all your good work
And you're not setting a very good example to us all!

well run 1 of week one completed with ease, i cant be that unfit then can i?
i found a lovely coountry lane within the 5 mins of warmup that i never knew was there, its a glorious run and i honestly could have carried on running i think im still ready for week 2 but im not gonna push it after having 3 weeks off.
I ran will ease with the sun on my face, therefore going red, sweaty and squinting, snifling coz i got a cold, so i had snot running down my nose and coughing, man i cut quite an attractive figure :rotfl::rotfl:
so i will be running every week on tuesdays, thursdays and 1 day over the weekend, and from next week i will be going onto week 2If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Well, take it easy for a week and enjoy not having to struggle! If you've got a cold you don't want to push yourself too hard, so on top of your other injury it would be best to stick with week 1 for a bit.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I actually got out for the much promised (never fulfilled
) flat 3 miler this morning. Echoing what webitha said about the weather - it was glorious. :j
I must, must get back into a regular pattern of running. I've been messing about a bit recently, substituting swimming and a little bit of Wii Fit instead of going out properly. I've notice my weight creeping back up :eek:so I have a real incentive to get back on track.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD
