Hi guys, I have just had a read through everything that's been happening, said and/or done (EVERYTHING, Taka, but it's OK, I ignored the jeans, I was so impressed by the doughnuts price! :D )

:hello: :grouphug:   This should hopefully cover everything to everyone and I did notice Lynda's 'bf', and hope all goes well there - keep him if he makes biscuits! :D

Livestock sightings today have included 4 rabbits and a buzzard, no mice. We've been into town and I picked up some steel wool for filling a couple of gaps plus some expanding foam and hard as nails glue etc. I took the opportunity of popping into Autumn Meadows when I saw their 'half price turkey' sign. IT's currently £13 for 4.8kg - 6.2kg sizes, so I rummaged in the freezer and found the last 6.2kg size to make sure I got my money's worth. Then filled the trolley with all sorts of other stuff to replenish the almost empty freezer and fridge plus top up the stockpile.

Made chicken soup in slow cooker and have a small chicken to try cooking it in the mini-oven tonight. Fingers crossed it fits in!

Must dash again, just popped in to catch up whilst downloading some work.
Janey, I haven't kindled the fire yet as the livingroom is filled with boxes but I might find the space tonight. Off to pack more and then get back to the other house. Signature is updated but we have spent some savings - I bought one of those butcher/kitchen trolleys to compensate for the lack of work surfaces in the kitchen. It was reduced by about 25% :D Keeping tabs on the 'new house' spends and have incorporated a separate heading in spending diary.

Catch up with you all tomorrow. :)
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

  • Just got my car insurance renewal quote through. It's for £100.20... I was really hoping to keep it below £100 so I think I'll have to ring them and have a chat next week... Funny really, if they'd sent it at £99.99 I'd have just paid up! If they don't oblige then I'll be ringing round for more quotes, but last year I tried that and all the other companies were at least £50 more.

I'd be well chuffed if I could get mine that low, lowest for me is around £230:rolleyes:

  • Yay, just had a £2 refund from school photos. Apparently they were suppose to have been charged at £10 but they were charged at £12. and since I paid for two peoples, looks like I have another £2 coming my way.

    Good evening all,

I have been up since 4 am as I had to finish off some college work. Of course this was the night when DD came to sleep with me so she woke up as well. At least the consequence of that is that in ten minutes after coming back from nursery she fell asleep on the sofa . I need to take her to her bed soon.

I am really tired and still have lots of studying to do tonight as next deadline is Friday. At least we are going to Bristol Zoo on Friday for study tour so really looking forward to that. I want to buy a gorilla for DD :D. Bails - wanted to come and see you on Friday but sorry forgot about the study tour. Can we please talk tomorrow to try to arrange something? I am glad you are sounding more positive.

Due to tiredness all the good frugal intentions have flown out of the window and the college canteen has prospered. Except someone keeps paying for my hot drinks as again had 40p waiting in the coffee machine today.

Off now to put some potatoes on and take DD to her bed. Then half an hour chilling out before getting on with the work.

I hope you all have a good evening.

Janey - I hope my Boo comment didn't come across as flippant, as after reading the above posts about your DH it may look like that. It's my humour and it doesn't always translate well through typing. kaos-animal-bunny-smiley-6082.gif

Shaz, I use Teachit.co.uk a lot and they have a Primary section, although I can't access it without registering so I can't see how relevant the resources are for you. Might be worth a look. SM's website looks promising. If you feel like expanding on what kind of stuff you need/how the teacher wasn't supportive and any ways of dealing with that, feel free to PM me.

    Hello everyone,

I am sitting in front of my new light - seeing if it makes me feel happy, lol. In fact I just feel shattered, even though I went to bed relatively early. I'm having trouble dropping off to sleep lately. No real reason why, I think I've been out of a routine since I got made redundant.

I have absolutely loads to do today.

I must go through all my cash spends since the wedding and work them out.

I have a speech to prepare for next week.

I have lots of admin stuff to do for my self-employment.

I have to tidy the kitchen.

I have to put the house in order.

So I'm going to get cracking!

(At least it should be a no spend day).

    Have a great day!
