Janey have a hug.I know the spooky noise frightened you but would you consider that it might be your DH or do you not believe.
I'm asking because I often hear things when I'm feeling low and like to think it's one of me loved ones who've past over just checking up on me and letting me know they're there.
I appreciate not everyone shares my beliefs but I find it very comforting ( and find it easier believing that than the other scarier options lol)

Hi Mollymop5 absolutely I believe in an afterlife. I thought I saw DH the other day out of the corner of my eye heading towards his beloved sheds!

The funny thing is, the best description I can give of the noise I heard last night was the noise he made coming upstairs because he was quite breathless.
    I wasn't really scared...just caught off guard.
I have threatned him that when he comes back...no scary appearances in the middle of a dark corridor!!
  • I noticed this too:p Love is in the air, :smileyhea  :happyhear :happyhear :happylove :iloveyou: :heartpuls :heartsmil :heart2: .

Sorry, I know I have went overboard with the hearts, but it is just soooooooo nice when you meet someone new, (that was a long time ago for me now, but I do remember how it feels (sigh).

Good luck with the new house and romance Lynda,

    SL x

He made me chocolate and chili biscuits, that definitely put him in bf category :smileyhea

Hugs Janey, hope you feel a bit better after your shopping trip. And hugs to everyone else who needs them. I really ought to get on with some work now...

A cat that makes coffee? Clearly my cats are only second-rate - I shall be returning them for a full refund pronto ;)

Seriously though Janey, it must be so hard without DH there. I love the idea that the noise was him :smileyhea I don't think he'll be scaring you in a dark corridor, just maybe sneaking up for one of these :kisses3: xx

'My to-do list should have been called my "don't hold your breath" list.' :rotfl::rotfl:I absolutely love this quote Purplevamp (notice I didn't call you PV :D) and shall adopt it for my own 'to do' lists, it's perfect! :T

I am 'letting go' as agreed yesterday, and it feels wonderful. I slept better than I have in weeks and although still tired of course, I can feel that my body healed a little last night. :j As a result I was able to get up easily this morning, have finished my DLA form with ease and without upset (it's so difficult to be completely honest about your limitations) and am off to meet a friend for coffee at 1 :T It always amazes me how doing the very opposite of what you think you need to do paradoxically brings about the change you were seeking in the first place.
Which reminds me, I am thinking of doing a course in January (self-development not academic) and will need to find £190 to do it. Another mini challenge me thinks ;)
When you put it like that Lynda...how could he be anything else? :D
Have a fab day everyone xx

  • Have only just found time to read up on what you've all been doing since my last post, and now I have to dash off again (this is part of what's getting me down at the moment - relentless time pressure) but I just want to say thanks for your kind words and encouragement, :A and :grouphug: to everyone who's feeling a bit fragile - we do seem to be going through it at the moment, don't we! Bails, I so sympathise with your frustration  and find myself wondering if you have a legal case against the idiots who advised you and if you could claim any sort of compensation? Just a thought.

Thankyou Redglass, I appreciate your thoughts. TBH, I am simply going to step back from it all for a while and 'regroup'.
I hope you can find some time in your day to 'breathe' x

Janey, I also love the idea that the noise was your DH popping to say hello  Probably just wanted a snuggle! xx
Bails, I don't know how I missed it yesterday, but I'm sorry for all the trouble you seem to be going through at the moment. Some people just don't get it. (((HUGS))) xx
Taka, yuuuum 16p donuts! I hope you enjoyed them ;) you can't not get them at that price!! :D xx

I'm off to town in a bit, armed with a shopping list of things I still need for christmas pressies. It'll be a miracle if I get it all, but even half will be better than nothing. and hopefully not too expensive! It is sad how excited I am though - christmas shopping always makes me feel excited. :o
Have a good day everyone xx

Hello everyone. Feeling happy this week, for no particular reason, just that I have some good friends who love me.

Was supposed to be on a course for the next two days but I got the dates wrong so that has been rescheduled to next month. Which actually works out better as I can get ahead of myself.

Haven't paid my car insurance yet and my brother has managed to wangle me a £76 discount off it. That's amazing so am jolly pleased.

bails, you beat me to a cat making coffee joke!

Janey, I had to laugh at your comments about the noise outside just after you've been watching Most Haunted. That's like me to watch a programme and then scare myself. I really love the thought that DH is sneaking a quick kiss. My widowed friend went for a job interview the other day (which she got) and she said that she told her DH that he could come on the train with her but not into the interview. I love it so much that he is still such a big part of her daily life and that he's looking out for her.

Got my tasklight thing eventually so am going to see if sitting in front of that affects my moods positively (re Seasonal Affected Disorder). Would have got £4 off it, but DS promptly spent the discount on something else. Bless him, he's a good boy though.

Can't type fast enough for my ramblings today so will go now and may come back later to post more. Will be lurking anyway,

Boohoo, again no NSD. Just had to book travel insurance (better save than sorry) and the cheapest was £40  for the two of us for where we going for 9 days. At least it seems to have one of the best covers and I should get 12% cashback :T.

  • That's a great reason to feel happy, whitewing!

Hope you have fun Xmas shopping, sf... I've been so organised this year with getting stuff in the sales that I now have barely any to do - think I'll leave some more shopping till nearer the time next year as I really enjoy buying presents in the run-up to Christmas, too!

Glad you feel more relaxed today, bails - though you have every right to feel frustrated, too!

I've managed to come down with the 'flu (or something very similar) and have barely left my bed for the past few days. SIGH. Dragged myself to Sainsbury's today and blew the food budget on lots of nice fruit & veg to make myself feel better. Oh, and some chocolate muffins :p Off to bed again now and hopefully things will be looking up tomorrow.
