Hugs to everyone who's feeling abit down at the minute:grouphug:
I'm off work ill today and I was yesterday, went to the docs & got signed off til tomorrow. (Have sore throat, cold & shivery etc) and cant really take anything cos I'm pregnant so I'm feeling sorry for myself!
Have spoken to DH about the challenge for next year and he seems quite keen, although I dont think I'm gonna be allowed to be 'too extreme' but what he doesnt know wont hurt him!
Have a good day all x will pop back later x0 -
Hugs Slowlyfading, hope you're feel better today?
Thanks for all the late night hugs too x It's a bit of a battle here at the mo but as always, I know this time will pass. I wish I didn't have to sit through it, but then that's how things change.
Good luck with the removal van and everything today Nyk; hope you can get on to update us from time to time.
Hope you feel better soon Loopylou, get that duvet out and snuggle up! I don't think I knew you're pregnant, congratulations!
Hope you get the house sorted Loobyloo so you can get some 'me' time this weekend.

I hope everyone is feeling better today. I had a rubbish day and got soaked walking home but today is much better and there's even sunshine where I am! :j
Just wanted to say thanks to sophiesmum for the brilliant breakdown of batch cooking. It has definitely given me lots of ideas although I may need a bigger freezer! So thank you lots!:T
On a similar note I've been collecting loads of apples of a tree at work that everyone else is ignoring. This has so far supplied me with about three litres of apple sauce, two pies and a crumble but I still have three HUGE bags full left and I'm not sure what to do with them. I was thinking more pies for the freezer but I'm going to run out space pretty soon so any ideas would be much appreciated - can't bear to see free food going to waste!0 -
Hi guys, just a quick hello. That's first van load away to the new place - we were expecting it to take 3 loads (that's what's estimated in costs) but I'm hoping to do it in 2 so we can get a bit shaved off! :rotfl: No huge removal companies here, only man with a van.
All I can say at the moment is, "thank goodness for wireless" as I'm in the kitchen and haven't got a desk!
The weather here is horrendous! Everyone's soaked and I am cringing at the thought of doors lying wide open letting out all the heat and people trampling the newly shampooed carpets with wet, mucky feet! Probably best that I sat out the first trip! Off to finish off some more packing, not sure if I'll get back online today but I'll keep up as best I can, even if it's on dial up in the meantime.
Don't all be rushing off on mad spending sprees just 'cos my back's turned, now! :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been repeatedly told that if I do Permitted Work I would only be £5- £10 better off a week so I've delayed doing it as I would only have a year to get my energy levels high enough to be completely financially independent (not remotely possible at mo in that time frame). Then my friend tells me the other week that she's been able to keep the full amount of what she earns. So I've been trying to get hold of a Disability Advisor to get a definitive answer on this (bearing in mind I've already had a definitive answer twice, with calculations and everything). I finally make contact today to be told that my friend IS right and I could've been earning up to £91 a week!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: That's £4732 a year :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: My life could've been so much easier and less stressful if these bleeping bleeing bleeping people actually knew how to do their bleeping jobs!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYED!
Here I am trying to do everything in my power to help myself and this is the 'support' I get
EDIT: I've just worked out what's going on..why do these people not know how to do their jobs? If the government spent money on adequate training for its staff then maybe the right people would be getting the help they need (apologies to anyone who knows people who do a great job, I'm sure there are many, just not the people I've been dealing with)..And no more political commentary I promise Nyk*scurries off to the corner to fume*

What a nightmare Bails  I hope you get things sorted out soon.....
Yep, am 23 weeks pregnant - due 7th March. I've had so many comments 'Are u having twins etc' and I keep having to say 'no just one!!'. So when I went to the docs yesterday I asked her if my bump was too big for my dates (I'm size 8-10 with big bump!) and she felt everything and said it was all okay but the reason it looks so big, is my stomach muscles (the top ones - if that makes sense) arent very strong (In other words I'm a lazy girl who should have done more exercise!!!) so its not holding it inI said thats thats my lack of exercise then, yep pretty much she said!
Oh well!! I've got lots of hard work to do then when baby arrives!! I'll be so focused on the challenge and coming in on budget I'll be marching around the village with the pram like a loon :rotfl: to save on heating the house!!0 -
Ah, congratulations Loopylou. If that's the case I'll have no chance of holding my bump in when the time comes :rotfl:
I'm giving up on the benefits system and working all out to scarper off to sunnier climes - at least it's cheaper there and the sun can cheer me upThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi All,
Just completed a phone survey job, I will get £50, so will set that aside for presents for next year when (if) it arrives.
Going to have lunch now, HM soup and bread.
I've not spent any money so far today, could I make this a NSD? I hope so!! Hugs to everyone that needs one and I hope the move is going well NYK!!!
Speak later,
SL x0
