Scottish Power are offering a "Fix for free" tarrif that is fixed until 1st May 2009 if you are on their pricefall that ends next month. The prices they gave me are just their normal Online Tarrifs from what i can see on SP website.
S/Charge 13.524p inc VAT, 11.37kwh inc VAT
For a high leccy user like me the lower Click 6 unit cost works out better0 -
Yoinks. Found the figures now (by speaking to someone in the BG call centre - they're catching up with this just like the rest of us)
My bill options:
Old click 5 = £1379 / year
New Click 5 = £1887 / year (£508/year increase)
Click 6 = £1773 / year (£394/year increase)
Ho hum.0 -

Ho hum.
So a combined increase of 28.5%.
Have you calculated the individual gas and electricity percentage rise?0 -
I applied for click 5 a few weeks back, but BG messed up the application and eventually sent a letter to a neighbour saying they had lost some of the details I had submitted :-s
So I just went with the Scottish Power 2009 discount instead (my existing provider). Would have been over £90 a year worse off if I had switched!0 -

Am I right in assuming that people who are currently on click 5 won't automatically be placed on Click 6? If not, is there any justification for BG starting a new Click product seemingly every year or so? Why do they require a 'new' Click product, why not just keep the existing one? Answers on a postcard, please...Call me Carmine....

It had my name but they had sent it to the wrong house number, even though I still have the online confirmation of order showing the correct details!

Yes u are correct.
So, now they not only bump up their profits from the apathetic on the standard tariff, they also do the same from the apathetic on Click 5. :rotfl: It's not a bad business model, is it? For the shareholders and board members, that is. I can't think of another reason why they have to change their Click product every year. Anyone care to challenge my theory?Call me Carmine....
