Here, have some tinned brussels to help the brain start working again - I've heard they have *special* properties :D

Don't tease me by dangling them in front of me then snatching them away again :o. I tell you, they'll be delicious. Especially when they've been 'laid down' like a fine wine for a few years :rotfl:.

In today's exciting instalment in my life I:
    - checked bank and saw a £5 Dd for a mag. Had a hissy fit as was sure I'd cancelled it. Then did bank rec & I was £5 out. They've obviously taken the £5 & bank are in the process of rejecting it - found my mags spreadsheet (yes, of course I have one :o) and I had indeed cancelled it. :)
    - to celebrate, took out another £3 sub, which has tracked already :)
    - phoned up & ordered free Good Food mag :)
    - checked quidco account, they haven't made payment, I think as I had just changed bank account last week :( Still, it will come next month :)
    - phoned A&L and got them to confirm they were closing my account :)
    - new Smile card reader arrived so transferred some money around :)
    - em, ordered em a few things on M&Co website. Not saying how much but £15 cashback has tracked _pale_. Had email to say has been dispatched already :), but will probably arrive when I am on HOLIDAY :)
    - hung out 2 loads of washing :)

OH's old uni pal coming for Sat night. He is lovely but very full on. Cue mucho G&T drinking, with me trying to get away with only the T :rotfl:. Need to empty all stuff bought for DD's house out of bedroom before they come . Am trying to decide what to cook that will soak up the alcohol but has no calories :).

Only 5 sleeps till HOLIDAY :T:j:T:j:T

Ok, quick update before a tidy round and early night :o.

Remortgage of mum's house goes through Tues so solicitor has DD's solicitor's details & will send her deposit money :T. Looking good for completion last weekend in Sept :j
Had OH's friend & wife to stay last night, had v good time but mucho drinking :o. I was the soberest ;). Had bought a lot of wine in but they brought some and we also spent afternoon in pub so at the rate we are drinking that will last a month :j
Have got over £210 to pay off new BTL mortgage, plus I asked for more than needed just in case - will be able to pay an extra 2k off the 1st month :j
Have a slow cooker full of HM soup cooling down :j
Have been sorting out stuff to take to apartment - jar of coffee (don't like the ones I've tried out there), batteries, new Sky remote, zester, Beechams Powders. Plus loads of mags to read and a couple of books. Hmmm, doesn't leave much of the 10k hand baggage allowance for clothes (we only take hand luggage). 48 hours from now will be sitting on terrace :j

Only 2 more sleeps & the first one is coming right up :rotfl:

  • Sounds like you need one of Martins airline jackets.

Have fun on your break. Hope it is relaxing. :D
