Have had better days .
Flight cancelled due to French Air Traffic Control, now flying Saturday and still coming back Weds
On the bright side:
1. I found out nice & early so didn't turn up at airport tomorrow
2. Rebooking process was v easy
3. Changed car booking v easily, no charge and €40 cheaper, just need to amend car park now
4. I now have 3 extra days leave. Guess what I intend doing with it.

Oops. Spent a lot of time on the forum, just not on here. So, what's happened since I last posted:
Well, OH decided we couldn't wait til the Sat, so managed to pay extra & get a flight on the Weds. One day lost, so not too bad in the end. Plus we flew into Alicante which is 2 hrs away so now we know the route from there and it was v easy so will do it again
Holiday was great, as always
Huffy at being back
Lost 1/2lb over 2 weeks so happy with that, as I ate & drank a lot while away
Money wise, remortgage went through & balance not needed for DD's deposit & spends will be sent back to building soc as soon as they tell me how to make electronic payments. Another spreadsheet set up obviously to monitor it
DD has exchanged on house :j, moving in 3 weeks today so I will be on hand with hot water, paint, coffee and no doubt cheque book! V excited for her
In the middle of salary reviews at work, not got a big pot (to say the least), boss has divvied up based on my advice but I want to tweak a little, literally robbing 2 Peter's of £100 to pay Paul £200 etc. Hmmm, waiting to see if the 5k I was promised materialises.
Finishing off bonus target (well, I would be if I wasn't on here :rotfl:), along with joint & company targets will hopefully get an extra £700 in Nov pay
Which will pay for new front & back doors. Both need new locks and neither shut very well so would sooner replace than bodge. Have the chap who fitted my windows coming on Tues for a look. Had already had a quote of around £750 for the 2 but can't find brochure. Will be done in time for winter
No OH this weekend & I have a list of 22 tasks to complete plus stuff to do on computer . Ranges from buying a birthday present to paying coins in at bank, sorting wardrobe out etc. Am actually looking forward to it all
Read a couple of books recently by Kate Atkinson - read a good review so bought old ones of series & they were fab. Looked at buying latest one then decided to try library - book ordered which will take a while as 3 in queue in front of meShould have done that in 1st place, though to be fair I took them on holiday & wouldn't have done that with library books
.
That'll do for now, ttfn :hello:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'm glad your break was good. Sounds like you have a lot going on so good luck with that.

I love the way all the characters interlink, really groovy. Will try to sell the one I didn't bring back from Spain, even if it goes for 60p!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Phew, worn out! 19 items crossed off. Didn't get to see great niece
or get car cleaned as had a bit of an upset stomach so thought best to stay close to home
. Also didn't do any gardening as too flaming cold .
Some of the items I had to do were sorting out my wardrobe & drawers & clothes stored elsewhere, and putting stuff on ebay. Well, have still got some of wardrobe to do but 31 items listed on ebay . 2 have bids and 8 items with watchers already. Will look for a few more but think that's it for now. Have also got a few bags of stuff for one of the girls at SW, including 2 coats, and a few bags of stuff for charity shop. ETA: 1 item up to £10.50 already
:):)
Replaced them with a dress & 2 tops from charity shops (is ok, was on my list of things to do) and a few tops from ebay, including a beige version of a Laura Ashley top I loved but shrunk out of
.
I also had a cull of coat hangers. Threw out all with a size 16 or 18 or from trampy shops, also kids hangers (had a few 9-10 hangers & DS is 23). I only want nice hangers. Because I'm worth it :rotfl:. Seriously, I do feel much better for it.
Dropped off new cooker at tenants, need to get fitter round asap. Also roof man needed to do some repairs, need the tenant to arrange a visit, hopefully they will have enough credit to make a phone call .
Door man coming Tuesday night with a brochure
Almost a NSD today, just £2.20 on Sunday Times, which will last all week
Off to sort out rest of wardrobe, paint my toenails (red? pink? dark pink?) and have Sunday night bath with Saturday Times mag.
Have had a very relaxing weekend, hope you all have tooA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
