Another £99 gone on Sat Nav for DD _pale_.

With new furniture coming I have been having a look at some of the stuff in my room. I have some of the woven wicker furniture in addition to some really nice chests & a built in wardobe. The wicker stuff is a bit tatty looking so I've thought what the h*ll, I'll splash out on that too..........

So am buying some cream spray paint for it :rotfl:, also hopefully a wooden handle.

Been looking at savings accounts. Offset mortgage is currently at 1.49% :T. There is an ICICI fixed rate bond, 3.75% for 1 year, which is 3% net. Can I be bothered to open another account . More importantly, are interest rates likely to rise by 1.51% in the next year? Probably not, but likely to be on the rise by then. I wouldn't want to put more than 5k in it so that would be an extra £75 over the year, not to be sniffed at.
However, our BTL mortgage is 1.24% above base rate so currently 1.74%. The deal ends on 31st Dec this year & we will owe 40k. I think I need to keep access to all money, apart from cash ISA, to increase our options. Although there are plenty BTL mortgages available with 50% equity the arrangement fees are prohibitive for such a small balance so we may just go onto variable rate, make a 10% OP at the end of this year, 10% OP at the start of next year then increase the monthly payments till cleared. I could go for an instant access account for 6m but it is not really worth while. At least I've explored options though.

Picked up TomTom - £99 with NO cashback . A few cheaper ones online but none in stock so this was the cheapest I could find. Also bought some sandals - £25 in Jones's sale so pleased with that.

No more spending now, although I am out with a friend for dinner (Ask 2 4 1) and cinema tomorrow night. Away either Weds &/or Thurs, no hotels booked yet though till confirmed. Should get £5 cashback from one hotel and at least will be getting dinner & breakfast paid for.

Around £55 in quidco payout due next month, hoping a few more may appear.

11 items listed on ebay, bids on 4 items totalling £4.34, every little helps :rotfl:, also a £5 Morrisons voucher, value of which has been transferred to offset, as has £35 MS money. Won't take long to pay off furniture :D, at this rate it will paid..... em....... eventually

BTW...... 24 days till I'm in one of these plane-028.gif........ yippee (sorry, couldn't resist, found groovy smiley)

    OK, time for an update.

2 lots of mystery shopping money in, so away to offset :)
£100 from A&L for opening account in, also to offset :)
Approx £40 from ebay sales, most in paypal but need to get to £50 for a free withdrawal :(
Still 10 days not booked for summer in apartment :(
Only 1 MS job booked, seems to have really dried up :(
Things looking a bit financially in current account but hopefully with expenses and money friend owes it will be ok :)
DS just left for 6 week tour of Europe (using the rather loose Eurovision definition of 'Europe' rather than my idea of Europe. Lots of places with z, k and v, but fortunately Iran has been dropped ) :(
Veg not doing very well :(
Despite holidays & bedroom furniture, the overall balance is still dropping nicely each month, should be down 14.5k since 1st Jan, with balance of 145.5k at 1st July, hopefully a bit lower. :)
Off to look at targets for the year......

    Mortgage - achieved Silver Medal
Mystery Shopping - achieved Bronze Medal
Comps - no way will I achieve anything here, I hardly enter any these days :o
    Weight - no comment

  • There is a serious lack of MShopping at the moment, I have two for tonight, only little ones and a could of others booked but thats it.

Whats up with your vegetables? My toms look fab...well actually they look tiny, about half little finget nail size and very green...but they are there:j. I cannot wait until next year, I want to plant/grow lots, but I won't be asking for your advice if your are rubbish!!:p
