    Update on update:

    Still the weekend :)
    Survived without MSE :)
Nice drink & dinner courtesy of mystery shop :)
'Sacked' from one MS co from doing 'stamp shops' - happened to a few people, they must ban you after you've done so many. Ya boo sucks, need to pay for ebay postage now :(
Tenant for mum's house still happy, moving in 2 weeks :)
Heating still not right in other BTL, despite bill for £325 :(
DS helped me to build raised bed for garden, just need enough compost to fill it now then plant seeds :)
House insurance needed renewed. £149 via Swintons, £30 quidco (tracked already) plus £30 cashback direct from Swintons, form completed & ready to send :)
Spent 3 hours yesterday doing paperwork, admin, spreadsheets etc. :(
First Direct current account opened, ISA (Regular Saver @ 7%) to be opened tomorrow. Need to transfer £1500 a month from offset into FD to qualify for £100 cashback and will need to set up DD from FD account for £300 each month, then transfer £1200 back out. A lot of fuss to get 7% on an average of £1800, still, allowed me to set up another spreadsheet & a few extra lines on an existing one :)
Off to Spain in 2 more sleeps, forecast 20 and sunny. Already checked in :)

    :) 8
    :( 3

    :) wins

Enjoy the holiday and promise not to take a spreadsheet with you!

You've been more productive than me; I think the 5hrs I shifted last weekend coming back from USA plus a really heavy week at work wiped me out. In two weeks I'll be back over there but to central time so 6hrs diff....

I won't be taking a spreadsheet but just remembered we compiled a price list of 'essential' items (Pringles, red wine, lemons for G&T etc ;)) while in Canaries earlier in year so will take that to compare prices in our local shops :o

£ made major gains on € end of the week I think, may be worth noting new rates.

Just under €1.10 Stuart, still rubbish but getting a bit better. I paid a €1,000 plus tax bill last week , it's not yet appeared on cc statement so here's hoping a decent rate is applied. I'll be spending around €600 on drawing up wills & topping up bank account so every little helps.

Ooohh, gone over €1.10 in last few seconds :D

You should have picked up one of those books at the airport, lots of crosswords in them :D

Seriously though, good to hear it was all positive, but where did you go? Maybe I'm going blind from spreadsheets and can't see for looking, in this thread?

I know what you mean about the return from holiday; back refreshed, recharged and relaxed then into work and all of that is so quickly lost. Last year I think it took about 6 hrs before I was back to the pre-holiday state!
