.......Anyway. I baked a coffee cake this morning, a chocolate tray bake, some shortbread and made a casserole to freeze...........I've washed everything by hand, cleaned the kitchen floor, polished the table and chairs, tidied the living room and I'm just having a cuppa before hoovering.

Does anyone else think that Heidiboo could be nesting? ;)

Have been MIA over the weekend.....Friday was mad at work, then rugby to see Sale win their 4th game out of 4 played :D
Saturday was eyetest (need reading glasses ), YS f/r chicken (which was scrummy) and then a not so OS supper at the Pleasure Beach of oysters & champagne :o before going to see the Hot Ice show (annual fixture!) on a BOGOF (which saved more than the supper cost!). All had to be done this weekend before the £20 flat entry fee starts during October

Sunday was "walk-with-a-purpose" day....to the pub :p ending with ironing & bed!

Work was mad again, OH has just gone off to Aberdeen until Friday, and I've got a heap of stuff to put onto Ebay. Cold chicken for tea  and YS rasps from Asda.

Thanks for the info on the sewing machine shop, Morwenna & Whatatwit - the only problem with going up that way is that OH will want to go into the guitar shop - and he doesn't need another one.....although a pretty blue one would be nice in the corner of the dining room....:rotfl:

Am off to grab my tea, and I really must start knitting before my baby neice appears in January - have already decided to knit second size but will be needing school jumpers if I don't get a wriggle on :o

Love to all, :grouphug: to those in need

  • Hello again darlings!

Just had the rest of the pork meatballs for dinner and mmmm mmmm they were even better today!

Cravingsaving - welcome honey! Glad to have you with us, you will soon be addicted like the rest of us.
Penpin - the word 'latent' comes to mind. Or at the very least an interest in bisexuality. But you can't get your sister to see it if she doesn't want to.. all you can do is be there for it when it goes wrong and make sure your OH locks the bathroom door in future. lol.gif
Heidi - wow you have been busy - no wonder the lil blighter wants out, he is probably dizzy! dizzy.gif Seriously though, good luck and I hope your new arrival is with you soon.
Kaat - hope you feel better honey
Anniestar - Good luck with the interview hon.crossfingers.gif

Had my hair done today - first time it's been cut by a hairdresser in over a year so I had 6 inches cut off. It's still half way down my back but I feel soooooooo much better and lighter now!!

See you all in the morning

    Evening all,

Well I made toad in the hole, put it in the oven and went out to collect dd, OH got home early and put the veg on and made gravy, (thinking he was helping) and opened the oven, when I got back the veg was dished up on the plate with gravy on, and the toad was still in the oven. I went to dish it up and it was still raw, so left it annther 10 mins, and it was still raw, another 10.... yup still raw, It had been in for well over an hour, it was as flat as a pancake, and when i tried to dish it up it looked like sick _pale_  , the veg and gravy were by this time stone cold, so imagine, cold peas, runner beans and brocoli with cold gravy covered in sick, it truly was the most revoling looking dinner I have ever seen. I picked the sausages out for little dog and the rest went in the bin, .......we had fish and chips :D , I don't know what went wrong, my toad in the hole is normaly delish, but hey ho. Fish and chips were delish though.

Pen pin I too laughed at you OH, I bet he was terrified :rotfl:

Hester, sorry to hear work was a nightmare, hope its better tomorrow xx

Heidiboo, any news hun ? good luck, (I went 14 days over with mine ) but she did shoot out like a cannon being shot :D

Kaat, hope you feel better soon x

Anniestar good luck for tomorrow xx
    Have good evenings all xx
  • Evening,

phew, is it nearly 8pm already - where did the day go?? The shed is mainly up, just got to sort the doors out - and then create a base for it.... Just a quick one to catch up as I am going to wallow in the bath shortly :)

    Taplady (((hugs))) to you
Kaatlady & Scuzz, hope you feel better soon.
Heidiboo, sounds like it won't be long now - good luck!!!!
PenPin, the story about your OH made me smile too - although as Hester says, we know it's not nice really. Certainly sounds very bizarre. Hope you're feeling a little better this evening & get on ok at the hospital the rest of the week.
AnnieStar, good luck for the interview - they wouldn't have asked you to apply if they didn't think you could do it :)

    Welcome to the newbies too.

Edit: Diva, meatballs sound scrummy & there's nothing like a haircut to make you feel good (unless it goes very wrong of course!). Redruby, I know it's cruel, but I did laugh at the T-in-the-H saga....

Anyway. I baked a coffee cake this morning, a chocolate tray bake, some shortbread and made a casserole to freeze. We WILL eat properly when this baby comes lol I'm very proud of my culinary efforts being a HM virgin. Unfortunately I didn't realise how tempting fresh shortbread is and there's only 6 left....I'll double the batch next time!

I've washed everything by hand, cleaned the kitchen floor, polished the table and chairs, tidied the living room and I'm just having a cuppa before hoovering.

    Hope everyone's well x

Okay this baby is coming sooon! I spent the day when I was about to be in labour with DD1, shopping, cleaning cooking & freezing I was nesting! I finally finished cleaning the shower tray (with an old toothbrush!) and decided I had to lie down. When nature called, I discovered that I could only get to the loo on hands and knees... I went straight to the hospital and DD1 arrived 30 mins later, "well done Mother, fully dilated!" was how I was greeted :rotfl: Then I had to try not to push until exOH arrived :rotfl:

Good luck HeidiBoo - it sounds like your new arrival is about to, well, arrive :D

Floss2 - I can lend you my spare sewing machine if the need is urgent?

Whatatwit (and other Remoska owners) does the Remoska have a timer or would it have to be a timer plug type do-dad ( and pardon my technical terminology there :D ) I was thinking if [STRIKE]when[/STRIKE]I get one.. I could set the timer (a timer?) and come home to find I'd cooked dinner!

Okay, the children voted tonights dinner really great :D All it was was RTC sausages, Freedom Food pork & sage and they were really yummy, served with leftover roasties and yorkies, mash swede & carrot and gravy. Clean plates all around :T

okay I am wittering on, hugs for all x

    Evening all,

Still haven't had a chat with a doctor about OH and he is not getting things right when people tell him so am going to do a split shift with DD3 tomorrow until one of us gets something we can understand...when DD4 was in to-night he said that they have found out what the problem is but wasn't able to tell her more than that they are putting him or Warfarin, so hopefully tomorrow will have some results!

Anniestar...new one on me 'to make a statue cry'!, hope that the interview goes well to-morrow, good for your self-esteem even if you don't get the job

Heidi boo...hope that you are not reading this because you are otherwise engaged!

PenPin...hugs...that bf of your sisters sounds a few sandwiches short of a picnic...or something

Hester...good on you, some people are much easier to deal with when they don't talk to you..

The phone has rung four times since I started typing this so have totally lost the plot at this stage...was reading about school dinners, we don't have them here but I could never have afforded even €1.20 per day X 7 when mine were all at school so they would have been having packed lunches, primary children are not allowed to take sweets, crisps or fizzy drinks to DGS's schools, he usually has banana, apple, chorizo sandwich and carton of juice...maybe grapes or raisins...but he finishes at 1.25 and has lunch of more fruit and something like noodles when he comes home.

Had some lovely fresh mackerel and cod for dinner, DS3 was fishing yesterday...just a couple of mackerel to go in freezer for another day's snack. A friend gave me lasagne yesterday so that is to-morrow taken care of and the rest of the week will come out of the freezer.

Hoping that I can manage to paint the kitchen ceiling tomorrow and maybe some of the walls, tiler will not be back until Wednesday so need the painting done so that the whole lot will be finished for the weekend...just in case Ulick is out of hospital by then, want to have as little as possible to hassle him when he does come.

Night all, welcome newbies, hugs to those in need or want and congratulations to those who are celebrating

Right, come on, own up, who thought of Dixon of Dock Green. Apologies to the under 45's :o

Pen Pin, sorry, but I laughed as well :rotfl: Sounds like he likes his bread buttered both sides ;) Best bet if he carries on is to get your husband to tell him he is very flattered, but not that way inclined. As for your sister, does she still believe in Santa ..... wearing her knickers for a joke

Annie, good luck with the interview, they obviously think you are suitable for the job, so go for it.

Whatwait, it was me talking about ringing Scottish Power, but don't worry, I realise that my rate is capped at a price per Kw, I just want to know whether they will issue a refund for underusage, or all this frugality will be wasted

Heidiboo, hope the fact that you aren't online any more means that you are at the hospital, good luck :T

((( Hugs ))) to anyone who needs one, off to play some Wordscraper on Facebook x
