Penny-Pincher!!

Hi Guys!

Only a quick one as Im at Kings Hosiptal this morning and have to leave at 8 as it takes over an hour to get there.

Had a nice weekend, although sister told me a couple of odd things about her new BF....I will tell you later. All I will say is my OH felt very uncomfortable at times...lol

WM is on and DW needs emptying. My helper is here (hopefully) this morning.

Hello everyone, not posted for a few days as I have been busy with mine and DS birthdays and somedays dont want to be on line as I'm on a computer all day at work. We both had good birthdays, DS is now 3, cant believe how quickly time is passing us by. Looking overcast this morning in MK but hope it will brighten up later. We have left over gammon tonight, maybe with a fried egg, it was my first attempt at cooking a gammon joint yesterday, came out ok, well we all ate it! Duddles to everyone who is in need or poorly and belated best wishes, if I have missed any birthdays. x

Morning all.

It's a bit chilly here this morning, but I sorted out our 'fat' jumpers the other day, so only once the girls still feel cold with those on will I put the heating on LOL! DD has always called big warm jumpers 'fat' jumpers, and she hates wearing them, but then, she will be sat in a little strappy vest top, moaning that she's cold :rolleyes: So 'fat' jumpers it is

I didn't have a great night last night, as I couldn't get comfortable, so I'm feeling just as tired as I was when I went to bed.

Plans today are to sort out a kitchen cupboard. Slowly but surely I'm decluttering. It's going to take a while but we're getting there.

We had roast chicken for dinner yesterday, and half the chicken is still on the bone, so I need to take that off and coat it in a sauce - either curry or spicy mango [not sure which yet].

Other than that, the girls will be making volcano posters this morning, so I need to get their stuff sorted. Have found some lovely photos in an old Geographical magazine that they can cut up. [Always knew my hoarding would come in handy one day!]

Weather not to bad here this morning but sunny like the weekend.
I have had a toothache all weekend, Well I say toothache..I had a tooth out last year and they left a bit which they said would disappear. Needless to say it hasn't! I think I've got a bloomin' abcess!!! Will ring the dreaded dentist when I've dropped the kids off at school. :sad:

Stir fry left over roast chicken for tea tonight.

Have got to go out tonight. DS is moving up to secondary school next year and we have to choose his school in October so we are doing all the school open days over the next couple of weeks. :undecided

Morning all from a cold, bleary CD, the leaves are blowing off the tree outside the window as i type. Up and about early as we are going to be powerflushed this morning so i am expecting the guy to come early, also new shower cubicle is coming today!!! DH is going to make an early start on ripping out the bath and capping off the pipework so we have all had early showers, goodness knows when we will get the next one, we may have to decamp to DD1's house!!! My pvc cladding came yesterday afternoon and it is gorgeous, cant wait to see it on the walls and not lying on the stairs. If anyone fancies any please pm me as the guy is internet based and delivers all over the country.
Kitchen cupboards got their makeover yesterday and cost me nothing as i had my satin paint and varnish in the cupboard.
DH is going to get his stitches out of his hand today if it is healed up enough for them to do it, he will be pleased as it is starting to annoy him.
Got ebay parcels to wrap and post, and will do a roast dinner seeing as we missed out yesterday, then make some HM soup for tomorrow.
Any news from Heidiboo yet?

Funny you should wake up with a stuffy nose Essex-girl I went to bed with one last night and woke up this morning without it. So far so good :rolleyes:

Talking of Pipkin's 'fat jumpers' I will be putting all my holiday stuff away now its been washed and ironed and getting some 'fat jumpers' out myself. Thank goodness for those plastic bags where you can suck all the air out, otherwise goodness knows where I would be able to store everything. After 2 weeks off work with hubby, he has gone back to work today and I have the house to myself :j Never can motivate myself when we are both here so I will get a move on in a mo and get clearing up and tidying.

it's obviously rained here as the ground is wet, but looks promising for later with any luck.

Up in the night with youngest DD throwing up She still looks a bit flushed this morning so have told her to stay put in bed. Think she may have had a dodgy burger while out with her father yesterday.... Middle DD has also just announced she's not going to school either as she has a headache!!

N9eav, I must go for a look in Lidl for those chops, sounds like a bargain.
Aussie - so are you baking for the workmen...? How are DGS's hands now - is he all healed up?
Redruby, can you have a quiet word with his social worker (or a member of the staff) about the name-calling, etc? He shouldn't have to put up with that. Although it sounds as though there are still issues with his mother etc, I hope overall he's happier than he was?
Dubgirl, belated happy birthdays for you & your DS then! Hope you had lovely ones.

Candygirl, I know, I was stunned at how much you get fined for not doing it!! Does someone go through all the rubbish bags then....??

The plan today was that younger brother was coming to put metal shed together, not sure what time he is coming but I would imagine lunch-timish as he will then go straight to a night-shift at work. So this morning I will clear out a few more bits of "stuff" that have accumulated. I find when I declutter that although I can get rid of lots of things, other bits end up just being moved from one place to another, lol! But I have got soooo good at being ruthless now
