There isnt too much choice on products, just enough and I dont feel as exhausted shopping there like I do when visiting large hypermarket ones. We like the cafe too, much better than tescos. Its definately my favourite and the special offers and discounts are a bonus.
Your Morrisons must be on a different planet to ours - (ours is a bought out Safeways). The layout is dreadful, the staff miserable, the 'fresh' veg seldom has more than 1 day to expiry, the prices are usually above Tescos and Asda, and the fish is so old that the smell hits you when you enter the door (and the fish counter is at the back of the store). Let's not mention the continual running out of basic products - like bread and milk - or the pushing of pre-prepared junk food. Do I really want to buy a pie that's left cooling in a plastic and paper bag? Morrisons seem to think so.
They also do really stupid things - like plastic wrapping a swede! Or having TWO people weighing and pricing bunches of bananas - presumably so you can't seperate the bruised/damaged ones. It's the worst supermarket by far. I prefer going to Lidl and Aldi than going there - in fact Morrisons is about 2-300 yards away, Lidl & Asda about 1.5 miles and Tescos and Sainsburys about 3 miles. I avoid going to Morrisons unless I'm really desperate.0 -

Nice one. They started yesterday in the Leeds centre store - got several of these things and some chicken and made a very nice stew last night - will have matured overnight and be even better this evening (and tomorrow and...)0 -
Cheers for the info folks.
Morrisons a bit far from me but Friday afternoon take the parents to leeds/Bradford airport and just checked and a morrisons about 1.7 miles from the airport...Will be taking a de-tour on the way backHi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0 -
Popped into Morries to get the 50p bags of veg, also spotted energy saving lightbulbs at 39p each or 5 for 50p, so stocked up with 10. 5 x 11watt and 5x 14watt for £1 bargain eh?0

yeah i've read about the energy light bulbs will be back to morrisons when i've finished with my £5 off £20 shop in local tescos lol..0

I think everyone should just visit morrison and make the most out of their offers now, tesco is also capitalising on the economy to see profit go off the roof. Like some one said " This crisis is for my increase" and As companies fold some are starting up as financial advisers. Savings account will be a great way to open an account now as most banks need some cash to build up on.I work on behalf of MS, however, my views do not necessarily reflect theirs, I am not acting as a representative of the company while on this forum and I cannot warrant that what I say is 100% correct in all cases.0

which store is this one, as our store is an ex safeway one, and it is nothing like what u are describing, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Ours was ex safeway too.
Except they knocked it down and rebuilt from scratch a new Morrissons
Queues are bad though - never enough tills open.
Fish is better than anywhere else - supermarket wise
Good shop though if not smaller than most0 -

I totally agree with you - our Morrisons is hideous too - the staff are ignorant and immature, barely noticing if customers are around, everything is too much trouble and the veg is also very poor quality. I made a vow not to go there again but have to say Tesco is not much better but for different reasons, customer service is top notch at our tesco and nothing is too much trouble, if they have something specific not on the shelf they will go and look for it for you (M just look at you as if you are stupid!) but T as a company i do not like - i think they put profit way up above the needs of the customer. currently i am loving Somerfield - best of both!!! then Tesco and M if i have to!0 -

My sentiments entirely - dreadful place, just that there's not another 'large' supermarket in Market Drayton :embarasse0
