That's the closest you're going to see me exercising... Well I lie, I'll be walking to Canary wharf today and going to the gym (4 miles walkaround and... well a tortuous gym workout!)
Things might be looking up on the job front! Actually felt good about 2 job roles that I applied for and one of them paid off with a follow up phone call! :T
So now it's going to be more of this :EasterBun and less of this:beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Surfbabe, sorry to hear of all your bad news - you're right, it does make us realise that our own troubles are not so bad after all.
walshy - good luck with those jobs. I am sure one of them has your name written all over itSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

As has been said it helps put things in perspective.

Hi Hypno
Have you sneaked in another overpayment today? It went to the Egg loan I presume?
Is it looking likely that you will 'only' be taking the 30s into the New Year?0 -
Hi Hypno and all,
Surfbabe sorry to hear your news..condolences from here.
Walshyboy good luck on your jobs.
Hypno..no wonder you are tired ..look at all the stuff you do..you're like wonderwoman.Hope your meeting goes well tonight.take care x0 -
Yes, KM - £140 paid off today so that takes me just under £42k. I should be saying goodbye to the 40s by the end of next month if all goes according to plan, which will be a good boost!
Taxi, yes I am very tired right now. Probably the tiredest I have been for a long time! In addition, I have a workshop to run on Saturday and it is for a subject I have not taught before, and I haven't even started to prep for it. I would quite like to pull out of it, but it is £60, and would cause problems for them if I let them down at this late stage, so I am just going to have to wing it and hope. Perhaps tomorrow evening I will do one of my famous (!) last minute deadline panics, and will write the most amazing workshop and will then go into the classroom wondering what on earth I was making so much fuss about!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hypno, do take care of yourself. Hope it goes okay for you tomorrow *and* Saturday, and you can get some proper rest at some stage over the weekend. And don't get a lurgy! I've got one that keeps threatening to start up, but its not really happening. Annoying, but ok for now.
Have a good one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I haven't got TIME for a lurgy!!! Just can't fit it in my schedule
I have just typed up a page of brainstorming notes for my workshop - I feel a bit better now I have started.
Hope your lurgy either does something or not, if you know what I mean. Sometimes it is better to get it full on and out of the way, rather than rumbling along "threatening" and sapping your energy bit by bit!
