Tesco's Discounted Brands?

Oh, yes, the Daisy brand... It's not new, despite the advertising hype!
Been buying the washing powder for colours for some months now as it's been significantly cheaper than Tesco's own brand. However, I have noticed something peculiar about it. My washing machine, and therefore powders etc, are in our outhouse, which, like many such buildings, has an issue with damp. The Daisy washing powder seems to act like a magnet to moisture! It doesn't seem to affect the powder too much, but the box is pretty soggy up as far as there is powder left! Never had that with washing powders before, so can only assume the Daisy one has some different ingredient?Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

My husband and children say the cornflakes are ok.0

I have recently started using their 31p Value furniture polish rather than Mr Sheen (78p) and it works just as well.0

The value spaghetti is nice, the baked beans are a bit bland maybe a squidge of tomtao sauce would help!! I like the value sugar free lemonade but then I don't really like sweet fizzy drinks. Value bread is fairly ok too.0

I found the bacon was very very thin and loads of water came out of it when I fried it, I wouldn't buy it again. Ok it was cheap but I'd rather do without bacon if I couldn't afford semi-decent stuff. The mayonnaise is ok.0

Have tried the Daisy dishwasher tablets (5 in 1) for £2.99 & they seem to be fine - think they sell them in Aldi or Lidl as there was a price comparison sticker?
Would like to try the weetabix equivalent but my local Tesco has never had them in stock when I've been in - just a big empty space - 99p apparently.0
