Not convinced by it all myself - but the prices are definitely cheaper.

Aren't people odd? I think the Daisy brand looks far naffer than the value stuff anyway. :D

I posted this on another thread

Was in a Tesco's yesterday and they had a chunk of an aisle devoted to their so called discount brands - all with moronic names like Oak Lane (Ketchup), Country Barn (Corn Flakes).

There were 6 packs of crisps for 75 pence which didn't strike me as a particularly great deal - round the corner was a pallet load of 18 x Walkers for £2.00.

  • I recently bought Daisy Dishwasher powder from tesco, i think it was around 4.40 for a 3kg pack and i have to say it cleans brilliantly. I prefer powder rather than tablets and was previously paying > 3 quid for 1KG of Finish Powder.

    LONG LIVE DAISY!!!:j :j :j

Have tried the Daisy dishwasher tablets (5 in 1) for £2.99 & they seem to be fine - think they sell them in Aldi or Lidl as there was a price comparison sticker?
Would like to try the weetabix equivalent but my local Tesco has never had them in stock when I've been in - just a big empty space - 99p apparently.

Sweetserendipity, next time you go in to Tesco can you ask them have they got a bottle of black ink, blue will do.
I'm sure you've been told before, for anyone who has any eyesight problems, your postings make them worse.

does it matter as long as it does the job of cleaning the dishes or washing the clothes,

    They're right to think so.

I've tried a few Tesco "discount" products, and I can't say I've been let down yet.

I use the toilet roll, 9 rolls for £1.99. Perfectly fine, have used the value ones before but these are nicer.
