OMG this ebay lark is so flippin mind boggling.

I've sorted loads of things to go on it. All in neat piles on my bed at the moment. And I've got 5 items that can go on straight away. But................I have a digital camera that is certainly NOT Tag idiot proof. Do you upload your photos to photobucket anyone? I'm just following the first time ebayer thing at the moment and finding it so so confuzzling.

As for Paypal. Well that's scarier than Christmas only being 80 days away:eek:

Don't feel like I've accomplished much in my HHC - I have only managed to do the mealplan for the week after looking in the freezer, cupboards and through the cheaper section of Lidl online and Mr T offers. Oh well, I'm freezing from sitting too long in my PJs, so I'm off to have a warm shower and then off to the shops. Will have to see what I can find in the reduced section too, cos nothing I wanted was on offer.

PS AF is visiting at the moment so will have to bake a cake this afternoon to feed my carb cravings and also to use up the eggs I have that are BB4 8oct.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Ended up going out at 8.30 to take DD to DH's work so she could still go with him! It's just a soft tissue injury - painkillers and keep using it - he grimaces everytime he moves it and tries not to swear! Luckily it's his right arm so he only needs it to hold the steering wheel!

From there I went to Asda which opens at 9.30 for viewing - did my food shopping, went to Aldi and now I'm home although DS's going out soon. I don't have to go with him though my mate says as she's got room in her car so hoping to get 1 or 2 things done this afternoon. Want to go to Home Bargains as well though to get 1 or 2 Christmas bits as the kids always seem to be with me whenever I go.

Right off to write in birthday card and find present then chuck DS out of the door!

Also forgot that I had a British Heart Foundation Bag put through the door yesterday, so will endeavour to get rid of some stuff into that which I think I won't sell at carboots, as tbh I don't expect we'll get round to doing one for quite some time, and I find the prospect of ebaying too daunting.

Because I am so excited!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

I've already decided the arrangement of furniture to squeeze my tree in the front room.. and the other tree in the middle room... and the other tree in the back room!.. Me?! Excessive?!?!

I will just keep posting similarly scary posts so not one of you can be surprised when it gets to 23rd December... Christmas does NOT sneak up on us every year we KNOW it is going to happen so we may as well accept that and deal with it!

I bet Christmas is brill in your house with all those excited children. No wonder you look forward to it so much.

I might make more of an effort this year. Normally I only put the tree up and that's it.
Plus I never get that Xmas Eve last minute rush around and pick up anything that's forgotten anymore, cos it's DD birthday.
Note to anyone planning a Christmas baby. Don't do it. Mind you I didn't plan DD to arrive when she did. She was due on the 14th Dec. Then they wanted to induce me on the Xmas Eve. Which I point blank refused. But she appeared then anyway, so there wasn't alot I could do about it:rolleyes:.

Daunting it is sexymouse. Trouble is I hate doing boot sales now. And DD especially has some lovely clothes that are to good to give away.

I'm filling a charity bag as I go too, by the way:D
  • I don't know what to do. I have an Ebay cupboard bursting at the seams in the room I am trying to clean to level 3. It's full of stuff the kids have outgrown (Clothes and toys). But I never seem to get round to ebaying it. Our local charity shop don't want secondhand clothes. They say when they take into consideration the rent on the shop, they have to sell it dearer than people can buy new from Primark or Asda, then they have to pay to have the stuff they don't sell taken away.
I am tempted to just stick it in a few bin bags and have a trip to the dump. Then I can use the cupboard to tidy away the stuff we actually need. But it seems such a waste. What do you think?
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

SM - You're obviously learning the hard way that exercise is VERY BAD for you! First the swimming, now this  But don't let it put you off, you will get lots of aches and pains when you're trying to get back to your previous level of fitness, as you'll be trying to do things as you would have done before. Remember not to try quite so hard. And eggs don't have to be used before their BB date - if you keep them in the fridge they last for weeks longer, so just do the float test (of course, if you need a reason to make a cake, that's a different matter entirely!)

Pigpen - so the question is, did you attempt to hang the curtain before or after going to the pub ;) Sounds like another thing you should be delegating to the vast number of willing volunteers you have in your house!

Julie - I'm envious of how much you've already got done today! Hope you can have some me-time as a result! Hope your OH gets better soon and isn't too demanding during his recuperation ;)

Lou - we've all been there, you know that. Try to work out what is a realistic target each day and take it from there. The reason most people fail to achieve what they set out to is because they think they can do more than they can in the available time, and don't allow for unexpected things coming up (I have this conversation regularly at work!). Keep us updated with progress.

SS - hope you get better soon. It's irritating when these things drag on for ages

Valli - enjoy the rain :rotfl:

I've just had breakfast and caught up on the thread... I didn't get back until around 1ish this morning. Had a lovely evening with my friends and their new baby (5 weeks, not 4 - I lost count :o ). I didn't feel [STRIKE]very [/STRIKE]broody Toots :p . I realised this morning I should have stayed over as I could have gone to Bicester Village and the Avenue to do a bit of shopping. Seeing as the weather is so unpleasant it might have been a good time to do it!

I'm going to go out and buy some fruit as I have plenty of everything else, but need either fresh or stewed fruit for breakfast (and there's lots of room in the freezer now its tidy :D ). For those who asked, its an ordinary 3-drawer under-counter freezer. And some of the stuff in in has been there for a while... I have another one in the garage, but its been switched off ever since it defrosted itself while I was on holiday. I have it because I used to supplement my income by cooking for other people - both ready-meal type things and dinner-party food. I much prefer cooking to eating... although I do plenty of the latter too!!

I'm a Christmas baby. I love it. The only thing that annoys me is when people suggest I celebrate my birthday in November because everyone is busy at Christmas. It makes me feel like saying, "If you can't be bothered to celebrate with me at Christmas, don't bother at all!" But of course I never do say that, because I'm far too polite. ;)

...oh actually I do have one other teensy weensy problem...
I don't like getting birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper.
