    Hi all
Stopped rainingand the sky has gone all blue...
I have to pick up DS's GF to watch the match - that'll be fun - hope she wraps up warm

Greenee - didn't you think you'd like to take up my offer of a freezer contents swop then... and hadn't you already tried 'percussive maintainence?'.
    It's a loose wire BTW!

Hugs to all of you who have injured the groin ... and christmas babes too - bit off isn't it when people 'forget' your birthday or 'lump it in...'

I remember a friend of mine who had an early January baby who regularly got 'forgotten' 'because we have no money left after xmas...' by aunties.

And I bet organising parties is a nightmare...

Pigpen - so the question is, did you attempt to hang the curtain before or after going to the pub ;) Sounds like another thing you should be delegating to the vast number of willing volunteers you have in your house!

Given the fact the curtains are 3m drop... they are hubby's job!!

I haven't stitched the header tape on yet.. must do that today... but I need to dig it out of he understair cupboard.. which means I need to tidy the shoes and coats and bags.. and I don't want to!

Valli - if you were going to do my ironing & pick up my kitchen units on the way down here to do the swap I might be persuaded :D For some reason I'm reluctant to give the hifi the same treatment I'd give a PC (I have no qualms about hitting them - frequently before even trying the reboot option :o - it's part of the technical training, along with putting mac keyboards through the dishwasher...). The question is whether I can be bothered to work out where the loose wire is. As the unit is stuck high up on an inaccessible shelf, it means I have to make an effort, so we'll just have to see how much it annoys me.

I am, however, going to give in and get myself a digital radio for the kitchen, as every time I breathe it seems to interfere with the reception at the moment

Boddy - enjoy the sun... its wet here, and once again, the grass is about 6 inches high with no chance of it being cut anytime soon

Off shopping now, then back to watch a DVD, do some ironing and maybe run the dyson round the floors so I have a reasonably easy start next week (assuming Pigpen doesn't notice and have even more bright ideas ;) ). And on Monday morning I WILL do my recruitment paperwork and presentation for Tuesday... really... I will!
  • Christmasshopper what about freecycle for all your stuff? I love giving and getting that way. :money:

greenbee and boddy  thanks! and I'm glad you're on the mend boddy. ;)

pigpen you're right that they have no stamina, but they cave because we do so much no? + thanks for the updates about Christmas. It's focussing my attention for sure!  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Julie what news about your OH???

Well, I've swept through, unloaded and re-loaded DW, and WM. Helped DD2 with science homework..... on investigating 'white powders' I've gotta tell you it took all my strength of character not to say she was testing cocaine, speed and heroin. :rotfl: :rotfl:

We've showered the pooch! That's so bl**dy tiring at the best of times. Ah well, done now. DD3 is still with Grandma, *somebody catch my while I faint* It musty be going well! Here's hoping eh?

I'm going to go and put the BM on.... BTW, piggers I love the idea of them being 'bread bombs'. When I was making the rolls last week, I thought... oh, that's what pigpen's on about!

    Hello everyone
Have only done a quick skim through the thread - and that still took me over an hour!!!
    flower - love the pooches!!!
pigpen - glad hazel is back to 'normal' after her op
greenbee - interesting freezer list - you seem to have found your motivation this weekend - glad you enjoyed your outing.
dusty -well done at the sale - no wonder you have a sore back - hope it eases off today.
AnW'smum - glad wee W is feeling better
TAG the first few sales of ebay will take you a little time but then it will become second nature - paypal is great - you didnt used to have to sign up straightaway before just so long as you give it as an option of payment you could leave the registration until tomorrow or whenever - just have it ready for the money to come rolling in!!! would be glad to help.
julie - sorry to hear about DH's arm - hope it gets easier soon
loopy-loo - please dont stress yourself about the mess honey - it didnt happen overnight so wont get cleared overnight - baby steps make huge inroads after just a short while - as greenbee(i think it was) has said just be realistic about the goals you set - little and often works very well.
pigpen re the curtains...you should know better .......!!! LOVE the large bold countdown - thats what I need - in my face - to try to achieve it all and then have time to enjoy it all - I love Christmas but dont enjoy doing it for no-one.
Supergirl SS - you had better get well soon ....or else .......Friday will be cancelled!!!!! you poor thing - hope each day sees an improvemnet.

I am sure I have missed someone out so please forgive me if its you - and I seem to be a bit dyslexic with the typing today so try to ignore my spelling mistakes!!!
I was exhausted last night - I did have a quick read of some posts but was falling asleep at the pc so gave up and went to bed.
Had a lovely but tiring day at my brother's for my nephew's 11th swimmimg pool birthday party in the afternoon- a dozen 10/11 year olds and 3 littler girls - 2 nieces and a friend - OMG the noise and I was worn out watching them - they had a large inflatible plastic squidgy obstacle course type thing in the pool - boy did they love it then party food - hungry little monsters!!

In the morning I had arrived quite early and we did the presnt opening bit - I seemed to have doen ok there especially with a beenie hat with skull and cross bones on it which he wore all day!!!! (£1.59!!!!!) - his main present was a magic set which we had to drag him away from for lunch!!!
I did reading homework with littley niece and english with bigger niece so that was fun!!!
The travelling wears me out - its not that far just awkward to get to - 4 buses!
On the flying front I have still got a few things to do today but have done WM and DW is getting filled nicely for later - was going to batch cook but think I will leave that till tomorrow when I have fully recovered.

Nice and sunny day here at mo so hopefully washing will dry ok.

hugs to all those not feeling up to scratch.

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

AArrgghhh  The shelf in the cupboard under my sink in the kitchen has just fallen down on one side  And I'm leaving to go to football in 20 mins!!!

It'll just have to stay fallen down until I get back (or until I can find time to deal with it  )

The rain has eased off tho so I might get to the match without drowning!!!
