WOW Kaat Lady - they look great! Are they all different squashes? If so, I would've thought you could eat them.

Got any seeds I could have to follow your success??;) :D

    .

Edit: wow Redruby, that barn looks beautiful. I was thinking of booking something for next summer for me & my DD's for a week, although I was thinking Norfolk/Suffolk for a change. Will depend on the price (and if they want to, lol!). I don't think it's too cheeky asking for food money - are you planning on eating out a lot,or cooking there? Perhaps £20 or £30? Maybe a bit more if you're going to eat out a lot.

I think we will have breakfast at home, then take a picnic lunch out with us, maybe eat out for 2 or 3 evenings, and cook at home the rest of the time, I don't want to spend the whole week cooking as it wont be much of a holiday then  , but apparantly she will only eat chicken, which of course is expensive at the moment, it couldn't have been mince could it  :D , I think perhaps £30 should be ok. Thanks hun xx

Kaat, they are great, lovely photo xx

Yes she did have a funny turn. She seems to be ok now thanks. She will have more of these turns. I won't go into what happens, as it's pretty yucky, but apparently it's common in the elderly. She's 89, so I guess we have to expect things to start going wrong. It's very hard to watch her lose herself like she's doing now. She used to be so prim and proud, now it's just what they say, going back to childhood

I have been dying to try this but as I would(if you have a sensitive tummy look away NOW....)rather eat the contents of ALL our litter trays than put a single flake of coconut in my mouth it has to be the savoury version.

    Hi guys,

It's been a bit of a hopeless day in terms of getting much done (3 kids - no peace syndrome). I have managed to strip all bar the bed from DD's room (the fitters know that it won't come out as Eric built it in the room) and have tidied and sorted through her things. I will however need another pair of hands to upend it to take out the carpet. I have hung some pink flowery curtains in there and washed the surfaces.

Tomorrow should be better as I will strip out the boys room but I have no idea where the furniture is going to go. The landing is tiny and in all probability I will have to cart a lot of it downstairs until the carpeting is done. I hope to collect the bunkbeds Weds evening and by the end of Thursday have everyting sorted and back in place. (Sooner if possible)
Tomorrow evening I hopefully can pull out the paint tins and touch up both bedrooms. I have the first of three loads washing on - her rugs, bedding and curtains - shame really as I cleared the ironing yesterday.

The house has had it's usual hoover and swipe through and we had a tea of fridge and freezer odds and ends including some minted lamb chops and garlic bread. When I'm done here I am going to surf for a new bed and I quite like the idea of plum and have allready found a quilt set and curtains on Ebay which will look quite scrumptious. (Thanks Beth, a colour I would never have thought of.:T :T :T :T ) I think a white with just a hint of green in it will look nice on the walls and built in wardrobe. Full of ideas but daunting having to do it  I expect this is where I learn a bit more about what I can do.

    Anyway,

Beth and Meanmarie, - thinking of you both and sending gentle hugs to you and yours.

Pen-pin, - How you doing hun?

    Elona, hugs to your DD.

Aussielass, - gentle hugs to you, hope you feel better soon.

Mrstittlemouse, - Gentle hugs to you and DH, I should imagine that it was scary for that to happen. BTW the lion's share of the hugs better go to DH - I know that we women have no idea how much men suffer when they have manflu!!!   :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Have a good night all,

    Smoky. xxxx
