Afternoon all:wave:
Just a quick post while I drink my :coffee: Been dashing around like a woman possessed this morning, I am trying to get in front a bit today.
I havent read back yet I will later when I've a bit more time
Washing is on the line, lunch is in the SC beef and all sorts of veg.
Have done a bit of tidying in the garden, just cut a some branches down and trimmed a few bushes, there are so many leaves about already.
I must just go out again and sweep down the bottom and up the side path, that just means the front drive to be swept off then.
OH is upstairs fitting out the old airing cupboard with shelves, since we had the new boiler fitted and the tank taken out, there is so much room in there. I wanted it fitted down in the utility room, or the garage, but OH said it would be better upstairs, as the gas pipe and all the plumbing is already in, so I gave in ....anything for a quiet life.....well almost anything;) :rotfl:
Right thats it coffee finished, up and at em
Back later

But I see yours is already going...lol!!
Thanks for that squiggly, it was my one I washed, I have been looking to buy one for my dd, as she is cold at night and she has taken mine for the moment, but the only reasonably priced one I have found was on Ebay, and was dry clean only, I was wondering weather to risk it, will have another look at it I think.
Have had a great day, been sorting out the garden, looks a lot better now, had a good tidy up, I mowed and OH strimmed, I also mowed my neighbours :A , which pleased her no end, dd and I walked up the shop, because of the traffic queues, it is terrible, cars at a standstill everywhere, think its best to stay put today, OH said he will run little dog up the beach later.
Just had lunch, and dd is making some cookies, so will have a warm cookie with some ice cream, well I must have already worked off the calories in the garden.
Have good afternoons all xx
Hugs to Marie and DH xx0 -
Afternoon all
Well, am back from our week in Menorca. Looks like I should have tagged along with you Sunnyday, glad you had a good holiday. We had 2 days of sun and the rest was either rainy or cloudy. So much for spending time in the pool and boosting my confidence in the water, it was too cold to go in apart from the 2 sunny days and then we were dodging the clouds . Oh well teach us to go so late in the year I suppose.
Hope you have all been behaving yourselves while I have been away. Haven't had time to read the week's thread so hugs to all who need/want them. Up to my eyes in washing and ironing, so glad the sun is out so can at least dry the clothes out in the fresh air.
Was sad to hear of Paul Newman's death. Knew he did charity work but didn't know about his foundation etc etc. What a lovely man, sadly missed.
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Morning.
Still dry here, for a few more days anyway.
Made some food for friends last night from recipees from the Morrisons free Autum mag. I would recommend getting one as the beef in ale and tomato and mascarpone soup are delicious.
I picked up their mag too and thought it was really good0 -

Boing boing baggies baggies :j0 -
Just made a sausage and bean casserole from Morrisons 50p sausages from a while ago (they have been in the freezer)
Soooo much grease came out of them, and all the skins disintegrated so I had to fish them out . Rubbish. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Afternoon peeps
I`m starving and have discovered that we have no bread
Mr Sunnyday has gone away until Tuesday evening and i made 2 loaves in the panny both of which he has taken with him
I`ve been to the supermarket and done both ours and dads shopping and the weather has cheered up so i have two loads of washing on the line and more to put out later.
I`ve been in the greenhouse and picked the ripe tomatoes and chopped down a few branches from the plants, the sole courgette is doing really well and although there is only the one i`m quite pleased with iti shall go back down the garden shortly to have aother look at it
I picked up a big bag of oranges for a pound and i have some ginger and a couple of lemons so i shall hunt down a recipe for marmalade i think, i did try and find one before but without success so if anyone knows of a good one give me a nudge please
I have one batch of bread rolls proving and another lot of dough in the bm and later i shall make another loaf, the panny has had a good rest but it`s time to make up for that now
Chrisca - You would have been most welcome to tag along, the sea was too cold to do more than paddle when we were at the beach but the houndies didn`t mind.
Redruby - The houndies loved their holiday but the oldie was a bit too tired and wanted to go home at the end of the week, he wouldn`t get out of the car and we had to pack around him, he loved it but 5 days would have been enough for him. He laid down and almost went to sleep at Lands End and scared us a bit but he`s good as new now. We paced ourselves all week as we knew he would be tired. We were even offered a free extra nights accommodation which we turned down so that he could come home. The younger hound needed to be seen to be believed and had everyone in stitches, even the owner of one of the local pubs remembered her from last year. I have a video of her on my phone which is soo funny
Squiddly - Have i missed any more DIY bits whilst i`ve been away? Did you tackle anything else after finishing the shelves?
Blairweech - I like both beds but i think that i prefer the first one.
I`m off to see if any of the washing is dry [STRIKE]and to gaze at the courgette in the greenhouse[/STRIKE] now.
Catch up later guys
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
hello all!
benn carbooting this morning, got a dress and a cardie for £2.50 then went and got myself some new trainers for £20 - really comfy for work. Have done all my jobs today apart from cook dinner but that is under control.
Was frozen at the carboot, wore some gloves but my fingers still froze - had to buy some hot doughnuts to warm my hands up with:D then DH held my hands alternately till they thawed out, his were lovely and warm - this Reynauds is extremely uncomfortable and its not really cold yet.
(((hugs)) to those in need today x
Enjoyed strictly last night - havent got a favourite yet but I think Jodi is a very natural person - not like some of the celebrities.
Hope you are all having a great Sunday!Do what you love :happyhear0
