I have spent £321 so far. I am hoping I will have to spend very little until Friday, but will probably run out of nappies before then.
I shall try for £280 next month. Mainly because I need the incentive and also because looking at my shopping list for this month there was a fair amount I could cut back on. I shall bulk buy nappies and toilet rolls at the start of the month and try and get as much reduced stuff as possible.
  • I am going to declare this month at £483:j which is only £33 over and its a 5 week month - and is alot less than last month. I am going to set a target of £450 for November with a plan to start the Christmas food shopping within this

MrsM please could you put me down for £190 for November. Will be trying to use the freezer stocks to make room for Xmas stuff - but think I will restrict some of my shopping this year as most years I buy far too much and eat just for the sake of it.:rotfl:

Will declare for Oct at the end of the week.
  • Hiya guys,
Well I had to get a friend in the end to put my food in their freezer so I could get ours defrosted at last.:j :j

HM sausage casserole to day for lunch and used up HM apple pies
Toasted teacakes for tea all from freezer

Will get a big freezer shop in now, from Nov budget and then try to do the same in Nov, as in Oct, IYKWIM, couple of shops then eat from store cupboards. I think you spend less this way, by making a shopping list over a while, it gives you time to think weather you really need the item and quite often you find that you can do with out it.

Another NSD today, hopefully wont spend until starting Nov challenge and so will be well within budget for Oct

Can someone direct me to the stuffing recipe, it doesn't seem to be listed in the front pages. I've been looking for a homemade version so this sounds great. Thanks

In my bid to stick within my £201 budget, I am not going to be tempted by the £10 off a £50 shop asda have offered me on home delivery. I only ever have an asda shop if I can get free delivery but this involves a minimum spend and I ALWAYS find myself picking stuff just for the sake of it. NO MORE!!!!

do other people find stuff just ends up in the basket to get the total above the minimum spend?

Thank you for the grocery tips. the make a list of everything you have is fab and one i will try to do this weekend. I look forward to reporting some no spend days :D

    Morning all,

Just to let you know that the new Grocery Challenge for November is up and running HERE

I'll unstick this thread now but please keep posting into it if you haven't yet finished your October Challenge.

Well done to those who came in under budget in October :T and commiserations to those (including me :o ) who didn't. Good luck to everyone for November! :)
