I think it's because I was ok with some very skinny friends and I've lost loads of confidence since putting loads of weight back on.
But I guess he picked me. He called last night actually and was at a function for work (he works for a magazine) and was moaning he was on his own and wondered if I would go with him then next time he can take a guest.
I am offically a guest or plus 1:rotfl: which made me feel all nice... sad huh!
But I am currently putting together all the paperwork for the solicitors appointment this afternoon and there is loads of it!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Right well I had my appointment with the solicitor and it was interesting.
Basically I am being royal carped on by the company that has made me redundant .
I am within my legal right to take them to a tribunal, but that will take months to sort a payout out and I can't afford that. Or I can ask for more money as a part of the package, but I know that wont be entertained and the solicitor said he has had another client try it with the same company and they got no where.
So basically I am getting the minimum redundancy I am entitled to plus £800, which the solicitor said wasn't very good.
But they should have provided me with a copy of a written reference when they supplied this agreement which they haven't so I need to chase that tomorrow, and I have been told to only sign it once the company has.
But I guess is it better than nothing, right?
But hey, roll on this interview and hopefully a new job and I can stick two fingers up and them!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I've only just caught up with your thread but sounds like you've done tons this week already. Well done for not just staying under the duvet all week (which is what I did first time I was made redundant). Compromise agreements suck I had one of those once, oh make sure if they owe you any holiday pay this year you get that too as well as your notice/redundancy money.
Fingers crossed for the interview, for a big payout and nice chunk of money to chuck at your debt snowball when it turns out your so in demand for workAt this rate by xmas you'll have forgotten what all the fuss was about and will be telling some other person on here the same things I'm saying to you.

Thanks Bobbie.
I'm just a little confused at the moment. Part of me want's to see if I can get some more money out of them. But then major part, says take what they are offering and run for the hills.
I just don't know what to do.
I suffer from bad stress and depression and this one is knocking it out of me a little, I've just been sat here crying as I don't know what to do.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
