  • Whoo hoo - I think it's finally late enough in the day to declare today as an NSD!! The first of 20 target for the month!!

Jacks - my mum's just starting telling me about my cousin and her shopping around for a new hairdresser. She apparently went to our local college, got a cut, all over colour with some high-lights thrown in for good measure, and a blow-dry - and all for a grand total of £14!!! Apparently it looks really good as well, so I think I might just give it a go!!

Goodnight all - happy NSD-ing for tomorrow!!

    xx

Today I'm hoping for NSD number 2, otherwise I won't make my target for the month. :) Should be easy, it looks really miserable outside! x

I think I've caught the cold that's going around, so with that and weather not being very nice, I doubt I'll go out today. So hoping this will be my 3rd NSD and trying to go for one tomorrow as well. On Tuesday I'll have to go and buy some food as running low.

  • Hi and hope it's not too late to join this. I'm going to aim for 10 days as it's my first month.

So far I have managed 2 out of 5 days.

  • Today should be my second NSD of the month! I'm spending the day out in the sun helping my mum do her gardening! Rivetting stuff - but at least it stops me spending! :money:

It'll be Tuesday 'til I manage another though!

It's gotta save us some dosh honey hasn't it? I'm Ok DIYing it but my daughter said my hair looks more "dyed" than it does when it's been done at the hairdresser which alarmed me a bit . (I think it's just that it's more of one block colour than when I have lights weaved through it.)

The worst thing I can find anyone saying about the hairdressers at college is that they take much longer than the pros which is perfectly acceptable if I'm getting it for £20 instead of £100 and something - so long as it looks Ok.

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Probably going to have another NSD today. I don't need anything that I can think of... We'll see huh?

List updated, not a NSD for me as put petrol in OH's car and brought a bottle of diet coke to help my hangover as went out last night.

    Hello all,

My first NSD of the month today - went into town looking for winter boots but was not inspired. Had a lovely hot chocolate and muffin paid for by OH, so that doesn't count :A

I'm having a dilemma though. This is the first time I've done the NSD Challenge and I noticed on Saturday that I needed petrol and a few groceries. As I was already having a SD, I was tempted to nip back out and get those things to avoid getting them on Monday and sacrificing an NSD. I then remembered that I need to pick up a parcel at the PO and Mon is the only day I can do it, and it's going to cost me 50p to be redirected from the main sorting office in The Middle of Nowhere which is only open weekdays between 10.30 and 10.31  so as it'll be a Spend Day anyway I'll just get them then.

But if I hadn't needed my parcel and had gone out on Saturday to get those few things rather than get them on Monday... is it not a bit pointless doing this challenge if it's not stopping me from spending money, only shifting WHEN I spend it? We're only five days in so I'll persevere with it, but it did get me thinking...
