October - The NSD Challenge

Morning all,
Thanks everyone for your replies. What you say makes sense - things like petrol I'll not count but things like lunch I try to bring from home anyway so that'll count as a spend for me. I think you're right whoever said it about the amount you spend in a month being directly related to the number of times you go to the supermarket. Well today is going to be a spend day for me but hopefully a NSD tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Well done Nickynoo! You're putting me to shame! Unfortunately today's a spend day for me too! I have a cookery class on a Monday night and have to buy the ingredients! But hopefully Wed/Thu/Fri will all be NSD's - and maybe even Sat/Sun as well! Only 26 days left to get the other 18 I need to hit my target!
I'm now even considering finally having that clear out I keep threatening to do and get all of my belongings on E-Bay! I'm not quite sure how you figure out what's worth selling.... so I'm off in search of another thread!
Have a good day everyone

I think this challenge has made me think more about what I spend my money on. I do shift the days I would shop but that is good as rather than just pop into the supermarket cos I need some bread I try to delay it till I need something else. This works as I always end up spending an extra pound or two when I go in. So if I only go in once instead of 3 times I am only spending an extra pound, not three, hope that makes sense.
It also stops me buying that odd treat at work from the machine etc as dont want to ruin a NSD. Up to 3 at the mo and want to do my 4th tomorrow.MAY NSD's

I pile up all the things I want to sell by the computer and then search them on ebay to see if they are selling on their at the moment, if they are selling for more than 99p I put them on, if not I bag it up for bootfair or charity shop. I think if I have put it down to go on ebay, I obviously dont want it that much in which case I dont need it cluttering my house, so it has to go one way or another. I have 4 boxes in grandparents loft ready for when boot fairs start next year, and just keep adding to it.MAY NSD's

Thanks Sazzledazzle, that's quite a good way of doing it I suppose! If the stuff's all sitting in a pile I'll get fed up looking at it and actually put it on as well probably! There's a big indoor car boot which is open all year near where I live (so I'm told, I've never actually been) so I'll maybe start trying to sell things this weekend, then hold a Car boot next week for the things that don't go! And fingers crossed - I won't actually lose any money on it!
