HSBC - Serious complaint about Senior Advisor - ADVICE NEEDED

Contraryclairie: Why do you think he said what he did? Do you think he decided he was going to say something nasty and intentionally hurtful to you that could potentially cost him his job or do you think he spoke without thinking first? Would you feel the same way in both cases?0

HSBC should give you £100 for every stone you lose:D0

The idea of compensation is to put you into the financial position you were in before the incident.
You have not suffered any financial loss therefore you are not entitled to any compensation.
That's not strictly true, compensation can seek to also put a monetary value on a non financial loss, such as "hurt feelings" however I don't think it's appropriate in this case.pulliptears wrote: »Agreeing, and given that the average UK woman is a size 16 you are hardly overweight.
Overweight shouldn't be "overweight compared to everyone else" the reason the average size is at 16 is because so many people are now overweight, average no longer means fit, healthy and well proportioned, it now means overweight. Size 16 is no more or no less overweight than it was ten years ago despite the average size and weight creeping up. Bit off topic mind you.Bought, not Brought0 -
That for many unknown reasons made me chuckle.LinasPilibaitisisbatman wrote: »HSBC should give you £100 for every stone you lose:D0 -
so you feel its part of my job to be spoken like that? screamed from 30ft?
Of course you deserve respect, I didnt mean it to come across that you didnt.
All I was trying to say is that if you are in a customer-facing role, unfortunately you sometimes have to put up with other peoples rude comments, and smile along with it because its just a job, but you dont expect to be the customer and be faced with rudeness.(Last month I was told by a customer that I must be stupid because I work in a Supermarket, It was rude but I just ignored it, but I wouldnt expect to be told that by my banks CSA)
Im not trying to be 'caring', I just agree that the comment was unjustified. I also agreed that compensation wasnt the best way to go. All I am saying is that the thread has changed into a mickey-take and if the post is genuine, its a little unkind.Moving on up

Sorry - I disagree with that - what's sauce for one etc etc. Once when working in a Bank I was subject to a volley of verbal abuse and foul language from a customer on the telephone (phrases included 'you stupid !!!!'). I reported the matter to my manager who gave the customer 14 days' notice to close his account.
As regards the initial post, yes the comment was inappropriate but the reaction from the OP suggests she may have some deeper issues. Personally, I would have registered a complaint, asked for an apology and let the matter rest.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -

I agree with that totally, and if the OP feels that strongly, close the account and move somewhere else - or try internet banking!Moving on up

But then why is the op drawing attention to the picture by commenting on it herself in a sarcastic way which hardly discourages others to make a comment on the picture.
It's like the op is planting bait so she can then complain.0 -
The OP is lying and there is a clear warning that it is a Alter Ego post.....chances are that its not fat woman but rather a burly hgv driver called Gary or a 18 year old loner.....
The thread is a joke thread!
Get real people....!
In any event if someone made a comment about me being fat....Id prob go to the gym rather than sulk and moan about it. Sometimes fatties need to be humiliated to get them to help themselves.....dont get me started on the 'ive got a condition which makes me fat..blah blah' rubbish! Its the same 'condition' kids get when they are troublesome little ba@@@@rds... the parents call their 'condition' ADHT! !!!!!!....it didnt exist up until recently.....its all 'conditions' for this 'condition' for that.....
all rubbish.0
