I joking say something along the lines of "I look like a young offender in that picture, but it is me really."

Well why did you say that if you didn't want him to comment on your photo? You've drawn his attention to it almost asking for a comment in return by saying that. Then you cry when you get it.
  • Wow, how unprofessional, and how understanding some people here are being!

I can understand why you would be upset, and I think you have every right to be, but I dont honestly think you will get any compensation.

As other people have suggested, I would vote with your feet and go to another branch, or another bank.

I was in total shock .....
I left and then sat and cried around the corner for a good hour.....
    I am still a complete state. .....
    I was just so upset....
I thought I'd finished crying but I burst into tears on the phone .....
    I'm just devastated......
I've been bursting into tears all day and just feel destroyed....
I feel is tearful and really really upset......
I can't believe anyone would treat another human being let alone a customer like this.....
    I feel really wronged.....
I just feel so awful at the minute......

Ok, Contraryclairie, admit it. This was a joke post, surely?

ok joking aside if this really is the case, no one here can help you, posting might have made you fell better but the best thing to do would be to go and see your GP. This could be the first sign of depression, I know I was there last year.

    Perhaps a quick visit HERE
  • People are really being mean to the OP and I dont really think there is any need for it.She asked for advice and seems to have recieved comments bordering on sarcasm.

If, as many of you say, the problem is her feelings about her weight, then reading some of your nasty comments are going to make her feel 100% worse.

never come and work in my job
i got called a fat grey **** by a woman after her packet was returned
she screamed it from the middle of the car park

i laughed about it as well she was wound up and i am fat and grey and as for the star'ed word.
well each to their own ;)

my point is in the grand scheme the remark shouldnt affect you like this
if being overweight bothers you so much then do something about it.
  • Yes , but the difference is that she was wound up, and you were the service provider. The OP was a customer and should have been treated with some respect.

I have been threatened in my job, and called a lovely array of different names. I dont let it affect me because I know its part of the job, you shouldnt have to expect it when you visit your bank.
