Hi,
I haven't been around for ages as our internet went off intermittently for a couple of weeks then we have been away on holiday. Having been fed by friends for two weeks |I have to admit that I have gained 5lbs.
Thanks for the new thread Raphael
Hi new people,
Delly, I hope you have a great time tonight. We went on holiday childless and stayed longer because they are all old enough to look after themselves, oh and the weather was great too. It is such a treat to be just the two of us, but we didn't know what to talk about!

More like a late night! I worked 10pm to 6am the night before, seemed pointless going to bed just to get up at 7, so was up all night until about 1pm the next day!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Strewth, that's the worst ever!!!
I've had a reasonable rummage around and still have stuff from the last time, I'll be packing the things in the car after x factor, although I'll probably be late to bed - but that's only 'cos I'm always late to bed.
This time any left overs are definitely going to the Charity shop or tip - depending on whether I think the Charity shop will want it.

Hello Bails and all those who were interested in a meet in the South.
I've just found out that The Stroke Association hold a bike ride charity event each year, starting at Tower Bridge and ending at Hurst Park. It's called the Thames Bridges Bike Ride, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm.
Friends and family can meet the cyclists at Hurst Park at the end of the ride for an afternoon of entertainment, music, food and games.
Spaces are limited to 2,400 cyclists, so it may not even be a 'goer', however, I have requested an information pack when they become available. Entry cost £19 in 2008, and is submitted in April. This gives us lots of time to discuss whether it is something any of us are interested in, either doing the ride or meeting up at the end. I'm guessing that the bit in Hurst Park for those just wishing to meet up with the cyclists would be free
You've probably guessed that I'm up for the bike ride and thought that some of you other cyclists might fancy it, and it would be great to have a picnic at the end with everyone else.
Not trying to 'steal Bails's thunder' as she has already begun to look into a meet for us, but thought I would put this up as an idea - perhaps as an additional meet?

I'm all for a meet & for the bike ride. My dad is a post stroke patient , and has been wheelchair bound for the last 6 years due to the stroke. He attends clubs and outings organised by the stroke association and it would be great to give something back as it would be. Think a team might be a goer?? It'd have to be a slow ride tho lol!Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0
