Can I have your opinion friends?
I will be getting £300 from someone in the next few days-should I
1)use the money to take Scott and I away for a few days?
2)get a few things I have been wanting for the house? (shower screen, curtains for bedroom etc)
3)put it away for a family holiday
or
4)pay off some debt (I may be able to get a F&F from you of my debts for that much-but not certain)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
oops, you just caught me finishing one off!
My adapted recipe worked - think I should have left them in for a few minutes less so they were squidgy rather than more crumbly but they taste good and used up some very crushed cheapy weetabix which had fallen apart in the box!"Stay Wonky":D

Bun - I would use it for a F+F. If you use it on something 'house related' and your debt increases for an unforseen reason, you'll kick yourself for not taking the opportunity. Tesco do a Value shower curtain for a couple of quid if you need a temporary one.

Well, I would probably go with option 2. We dont tend to go on holiday, we have no-one to mind the kids/dog to enable us to have a weekend away and our remaining debts are too big to make a F & F likely with £300.
but
With you two having been through a tough few months recently, I think you should consider using it for either option 1 or 3. Option 4 would also be good, if you could get a F & F

Or you could treat yourself to some of them pyjamas, and then decide what to do with what's leftIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I would use it for a f+f too Bunny UNLESS you feel that a break away with Scott is something you both need as opposed to something you want. Staying married will save money (and your sanity) in the long run!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

would there be a way of someone looking after the kids one night maybe? On a Friday or Saturday? You could order in a meal from somewhere, run a nice bubble bath with candles and music? Make your own romantic evening rahter than a weekend away?

Thanks Spud-talking to you is what my head sounds like on the inside, lol!
As for debt increasing-as am blacklisted, don't think it will increase, lol! But I *think* Egg may be low enough for a F&F but not sure...and I'm worried the my DMP my be in jeapordy (sp) if I start being able to offer F&F's-not sure??
I think time away with Scott would help but I also worry that I may 'hype' it up too much in my mind and be disappointed-he is not 'traditionally' romantic and I wonder if he minght feel pressurised by a 'romantic' weekend...also not sure about leaving the kids for more than one night-not so much because I 'can't' but mainly for how much it would cost! (in-laws wont have them overnight so would have to pay a sitter)
argh!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
That's not a bad idea BB-but again, I worry if we are at home, I'd end up on the laptop and Scott watching 'New Yankee Workshop' or some other such tripe...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
