Glad your son is ok. Tesco should treat this as top priority. Taking weeks to resolve it is unacceptable and they should immedately recall all the pasta from that manuafacturer.
Jesus Titty Christ..
What planet are you on? recall all the pasta because of an isolated incident?
Treat it as top priority? well thank the lord and his 7 dwarves that i don't shop in Tesco's. I'd be devastated if i found a live hand grenade in my tomato soup and found it wasn't as important as a piece of wire that probably accidentally made it's way in to some pasta.0 -
I have been watching this thread for quite a while. I'm so sorry that your son and you have had to go through this experience. I would of been so mad if it had been one of my precious children.
I must admit though I would not of wanted any compensation - just an apology and an account of how it happened. I am sure that if someone had really truly apologized to you and ensured that it was looked into and protocols put in place so that it did not happen again that you would feel much more at peace.0 -

If you go back through the thread you will see that was all i wanted but when i went in i never got it hence me taking things forward. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -

im glad you seem to be amused by my son choking on wire.
instead of slagging people off (this site is not for that) why don't you just say you disagree with the comments made and give your reasons. You dont have to be so up tight.
so i would rather you put your comments else where (you choose) as this site is here for people who want/need advise not to be shot down by someone like you. i thank you. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -

What is it with the anti-children posters on MSE lately? Its really unpleasant. The OP's child could have chocked - she followed things up because no one apologised. There is no need for sarky comments and deliberate provocation.
Just lately it seems that every incident involving a young person brings the usual child hating morons out of the woodwork, there is no need to insult the OP or anyone else who offers her helpful advice.0 -
just lately? you've got 4 posts so obviously don't come on that often. Nobody is hating children either, i love children, just had one for my tea as it goes.
Nobody offering 'helpful advice' has been insulted, just the ones want to take things to extremes.
Maka,
When did i seem to be amused by your son choking on wire? all i said was that webmasterpolo (think that's who it was) was going over the top by saying they should make it top priority and recall all pasta by that supplier.
I'm pretty sure that you already know that some wire making it's way into the pasta, you buying it and your son nearly choking on it was not the result of a mallacious vendetta against your son or your family. What is annoying is the way people take everything over the top, yes complain to Tesco's and if that doesn't resolve the matter you take it further but some people just seem hell bent on taking the most drastic course of action for no apparenty reason.
The main things are a ) your son is ok b ) Tesco are looking into the matter but that still doesn't satisfy the vultures, they want somebody held accountable, they don't care who they just want a public flogging and somebody to blame.0 -

If you ask for advice on a board you are going to get those that agree with you and those that disagree with you ... if you don't want people to have opposing opinions then don't ask the question. In this case there was some good advice, some bad advice, some plain silly advice and, as usual, some downright silliness. Its like when DW comes down and asks me if her !!!!!! looks fat in her new outfit and I tell her yes ... why does she go off in a huff?Just lately it seems that every incident involving a young person brings the usual child hating morons out of the woodwork, there is no need to insult the OP or anyone else who offers her helpful advice.
