Aldi
The rolls of soft cheese in flavours - name escapes me but the one with the red topping is amazing - doesn't last a day at our house!!
Aldi also do the Schogetten as we found yesterday - the Praline is really lovely.
Also Madonna biscuits from Aldi are lovely tooIt's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0 -
At Aldi there is some lemon marmalade that is cheap and great0

Folks I'm getting far too keen to go shopping in these places now. There is a Netto just round the corner but I really don't fancy the foodstuff in there - ok for household stuff etc. though.
There is a Lidl about 25-30 minutes bus ride from me, however I pass it often in my work travels so I MUST go in and have a look. Never been in one before. My nearest Aldi is too far anyway so I'll ignore that one.
I guess I'll go through this thread and make a shopping list...Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Q LIDL is ok if you're not a veggie, which I know you're not;) ALDI is better for me cos I am, and Netto is ok sometimes as they sell proper brands cheaper sometimes:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Thanks candy but when it comes to meat I only buy organic. I don't care about the cost, I just eat less of it. For the rest I'm well happy to give it a try.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

I buy the jars of cheese cubes in oil either with herbs or olives - fantastic added to salads or pasta dishes. When I've used all the cheese I save the oil for cooking - great for italian dishes or for roast potatoes/vegetables.0 -
