Did anyone else take out the AA with 3% actual cashback on fuel?
They are now telling me that it's not cash but reward points.
What's the deal? Has anyone else had this problem. Cashback is credited in January.
Thanks

CHECK THE SMALL PRINT
Fees are in a SUMMARY BOX which make is really easy for people to check what they are signing up for.
If you didn't read what you were sent then it's your fault, but it's not made difficult, there are rules about this sort of thing and it has to be made clear.

Searched around the Reward site and found that you can exchange points for cash (maybe only if you got the Rewards Plus card?) but only for a minimum of £20.

Oh and if anyone knows of an easy way to close a Santander savings account then be sure to let me know.
From the website:
To close a Santander Account by post, please write to the following address:
Santander
PO Box 297
BRADFORD
BD1 4YR
If writing to Santander please enclose the following:
Your address
Your telephone number
The number of the account you wish to close
Instructions for repayment of any credit balance still on the account once closed (i.e. by cheque to registered address or into another Santander account)
Any cards held on the account (the cards should be cut in half for security purposes)
Cheque books held on the account
If you have any direct debit mandates (used to pay bills) arranged on the account, you must give written authority for us to cancel them and make alternative arrangements for future payments, with the companies they are payable to.
Please allow 14 days for the closure to take effect0 -
I hope this is the right place to post this and I apologise if it has been asked already.
I have v good credit score and history if I were to get the latest card from captial one and use it to pay for a holiday let's say about £1000. At 5% for the first three months would be £50.
If I then paid that credit card bill off by using my Sainsburys credit card would that then give me a load of nectar points by using that card?
In turn if I then used another card say Tesco to pay that debt off would that then give me tesco club card points.
Finally and most crucially I then pay off the tesco in full so as not to get hit by any APR.
So does the above work and can it be done?
Thanks in advance Rob.0 -
A non-starter (unless I've missed something obvious!)
"Paying off" means balance transfer = balance transfer fees.
Also, Nectar points are not collected on Balance Transfers unless stated otherwise. The same may well be true of Tesco.0 -
OxfordRob might means pay the Credit Card bill using another Credit Card. The answer being, it isn't usually possible (and if it were, would risk being treated as a cash advance). Some credit cards let you pay by *debit* card.
premierfella has it covered if you meant Balance transfers.0 -
Thanks for the quick response. I did think my cunning plan had a bit of Baldrick-ess to it. I was hoping that I could pay off one credit card with another and then pay that one off with another and finally pay that one off with cash and reap as many cashback and rewards as possible. Just getting greedy
Worth checking though I will just pay for the holiday with a Capital one get the 5% pay it off in full then cut it up.

I love this credit card. I got it in December, booked a holiday on it, got £60.00 cashback on my January statement and then paid it off in full = no interest. Love it2012

I remember reading once on the main site a list for all major CC companies detailing how long you have to be a non-customer to re-join as a new customer. Cancelled Cap1 last month and was wondering how long I might have to wait before attempting to take same card again to get the 5% deal (if at all possible). Can anyone shed any light on where this list might be, if it's still available? TIAMARRIED MR E - 22nd Dec 2010 - technically now sazzye!:j
