HSBC Changing all Bank accounts

Well my card is going to get lost/burnt/snapped at some stage between now and Feb... I have yet to decide when hehe but I will make sure that normal customers get their cards before I do so (I don't want to wait until 2010
)
Also online-only? eh?
IIRC, if you lose your card or whatever in the meantime, your replacement will be Maestro/Solo. Might be wrong.
I mean online authorisation only, as in it needs to be authorised online for all transactions, a la Electron or Solo.0 -
Also, sutton111, no, I don't have any pictures.0

I have not gone into a overdraft yet. The only time I ever got overdrawn was when I was a student where I had a 14 day interest free overdraft.
I have a new account with the Catholic building society. I have covered myself by transfering money on the likely day that the Catholic building society will take the money from the cheque.
In order to get interest I keep most of my money in savings and day to day money in the current account plus money for 2 month or so in the regular saver.0 -
Sorry I meant flexible saver. I get them confused.0

Also, £250 cheque guarantee cards are being dropped for everyone except Premier customers (which is non-negotiable),
That is interesting SS, I have had a £250 cheque guarantee card for as long as I can remember, the day that HSBC fail to provide a replacement with like for like on a non paid for account, will be the day that I go elsewhere.0 -

You still use cheques? I've had my cheque book 2 years and used it twice lol.0 -

I used to work in an HSBC call centre.
If they're getting rid of the £250 I'd imagine that means they're still keeping the £100 guarantee cards?0 -
