I agree with you. Once I used to give someone a montly cheque but the standing order was a lot easier then the cheque.

I had recently closed 2 savings accouonts with HSBC they both had very little money in. I was wondering can I open up another one? I will be putting in a few hundred pounds this time.

Yeh I think its cause of my giant pics above... :o

Woo got back from footy, won 4-2. Freezing cold though.

I have found it great difficulty opening new accounts and such, proof of address wise. I don't have any statements anymore, so have no proof of address apart from electoral roll.

Suppose I can always order statements.

Thank you and it is good to know I am not the only one with ID problems.

hey its your fault my eyes are googling round lol

who do you support? football I mean!

In terms of current accounts, you may use allsorts for id though it is pretty specific to meet both identification and address verification.

Im not sure if you are aware but HSBC do not open basic bank accounts in branch anymore.. All centrally opened via form.

    Wycombe Wanderers.

Yeh it was last year when I went to open my Lloyds account. Luckily at that point I still had a statement.

However I needed proof of address for job interview and all I had was confirmation of direct debits for gas and electric, luckily this was enough, but I couldn't have put my home address as I haven't got any bills, all in parents name.

Haha... how local? The main High Wycombe branch is luxurious! right next to McD's too! ;)

I would be more worried that he supports wycombe lol ( i think he is a he!!)

Ha, yes I am a he :) And nah I would end up staying in HSBC all day asking questions. Distracting me from uni work eek. Doing that now, what a laugh, Sat night and I am in doing work.
  • Local enough that I applied for a job at Wycombe branch but didn't get it, got one at another branch of roughly equal distance from where I live.

And davies, my recurring nightmare is that I have to serve someone who can recognise me by what I say on MSE. Christ...
