    Special Brew?? uuuuuuuuurrrghhhhh

I might get a bottle of Lambrini on Thursday lol

I was joking about the Special Brew bit lol. More of an Innis and Gunn man. Lambrini is unpardonable, however. ;)

I hope they've put you in the Burlington. Nice and close!
Trying to only spend money when I absolutely have to.
Barclaycard: £4559-1500 = £3059 (Will have £900 to add to that end of September)
    Loan from Friend = £2000
  • Well my trip to the branch was productive (I think), they were very confused at first, but when they realised the letter was specifically about my account rather than just a general mailout they were very helpful. They said they'd send a memo to the department they believed were in charge of the changed (DSC?) so hopefully I'll get a letter soon saying they're giving me the Advance account.

I think the brain washing is reserved for the straight talking CEO.

    Hi,
I have an HSBC current account and have received a letter saying they have 'reviewed' my overdraft and set it at £100 - which it already is. For the pleasure they have charged me £25 arrangement fee and will do every 12 months for a 'review'. Anyone else know why this is?

I have rung and they are adamant that they can't take it off.Any suggestions?

If you don't need your overdraft remove it. They are doing it because they need to earn money somehow and the courts are going against the bank charges (something like that). So now, every year, they 'review' your overdraft and charge £25 for the pleasure.

Shelfstacker will pop along at some point and explain better.

I agree don't give them a single penny. A overdraft is a way of them making money off customers.
