I was also foolish enough to get duped. I made the mistake of signing up. I heard nothing for 4 weeks and then £39.00 was taken from my bank on Monday, No email no letter just the debit.
I contacted my bank who have now written to them cancelling any future payments and then I rang Ecredit and told them that I had received no email, no letter just the debit taken. My 32.00 was back in my account today minus the 7.00 handling fee.
A very important lesson learnt by me.0 -
I have had the luck of encountering these DODGY characters. I signed up to use the catalogue and then realised that there are hefty prices for delivery and such. I checked my bank account and reliased that there was a large amount of money missing. I then phoned my bank and they then told me I had been charged by a company called e credit. my first thought was ????? Then i remembered that i had been on the internet. Anyway phoned the company had to wait in a queue for 20 mins. bloody joke. They then said that they would refund my 120.00 to my account still waiting on the 6th of november 2009 they then took a further 120 out my account. I am RAGING!!!! I have now lauched a fraud enquiry against the b****ds but that dosen't help feed me and my young family of 3 children. i also had to cancell my card not happy at all. Can someone please get in touch with me regarding these cowboys.
Many Thanks

It is unfortunate reading these storys however terms and conditions are there to be read, which clearly states all of the charges.
Becky, as for getting a lawyer.. I don't think you have a leg to stand on, I'm afraid. It states everything in the terms and conditions, which you obviously failed to read when applying. They can't be held responsible if you or anyone else does not bother to read the conditions laid out when applying for products/services. By applying, you agreed to the terms and conditions and agreed to let them charge you. Hopefully in the future you will be more vigilant when handing your debit/credit details over to companies. We’ve had to remove your signature. Excuse me but i did read the terms and conditions. Who are you to judge me. I authorised one payment not bloody 6 so please read the emails properly before you start upsetting people even more.
Im so glad you have never been scammed but trust me you will be at one point in your life.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
