Accidently opened the link on Facebook. Yes, I'd say the ad is highly misleading. Really not worth it, judging by the posts in this thread.0

The first part of their terms say it all:e-Platinum_Terms wrote:
This Agreement contains information about the use of this Charge Account and explains the terms by which both You and We agree to be bound. In this Agreement, the words "I", "My", "Me" and "Cardholder" mean the Card Member or Cardholder; the words "We" or "the Company" mean E-CREDIT PLUS™ and E-PLATINUM PLUS, located at 2 Minton Place, Victoria Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 6QB United Kingdom; and the words "Charge Account" or "Account" mean the E-CREDIT PLUS™ Shopping Card Account.
Note my bold red text.... charge account - not credit card!2010 - year of the troll

Well thank goodness i checked this out before i registered! I have a bad credit rating and I thought that this would be a good way of starting to repair this but as I have heard so many times before if it sounds too good to be true it usually is! So I googled e credit platinum and then decided to click on the link for this site and read the posts on here. THANKYOU soooo much!0

Hi - has anybody had any luck getting their membership fee back from these characters - I mistakenly signed up for this too thinking it was a Platinum Credit Card. Spent 20 minutes in a phone queue today trying to speak to someone to cancel the application but had to give up in the end.
Thank you in advance.

Under the "Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004, you have 14 days in which to cancel your agreement with E-Credit. Write to them at 2, Minton Place, Victoria Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 6QB. It does state in there "Membership Terms", found at the bottom of there E Catalogue home page, that if you cancel after 14 days but before 30 days thaey will give you your membership money back as long as all goods are returned unused.
I hope this helps anyone else who gets caught out as I did.
Regards Ian.
PS. only just written so fingers crossed!0 -
