  • Hi Everyone
I won a Whoopydoo voucher through an online Consumer Lifestyles survey, I was emailed the Whoopydoo Holiday request voucher in pdf format, 1 page, to send off with my date choices and cheque for £78 (£34 per person) they have cashed my cheque but i have heard nothing yet.
I'm worried as been reading some of the reviews here, as i received NO Copy of any Terms & Conditions, so was not aware my destination of Menorca could change, and i was not aware of any further charges. I'm going to telephone them on Monday, any suggestions from anyone?
Would be grateful for some advice.
    Many thanks
I want to be Debt Free!

  • I received an alternative holiday offer from Whoopydoo ahaha! with different dates and destination which we didnt agree at all, we were supposed to stay in Amsterdam for two nites after those only 39£ fees that me and 3 of my mates had 2 pay in advance, so after ages we finally got a letter offering us to go to Barcelona during weekdays and compulsory charges of 34£ p person duty tax also another 40£ Fuel Levy Tax Optional chrages Breakfast 10£ 4 2 days and finally 360£ deposit Nice one!! Yes it looks like a self payed holiday doesnt it?
I phoned them up, sent them emails no answers obviously we didnt accept the Offer, its all so doggy , So plz we have to stop with this people that take our time and hardly worked money.
    Thanks!
  • We've just been dumped on by Whoopydoo! as well. In October 2008 we paid them £78 as "admin fee" for a free holiday - won on a "Purely Creative" scratch card we got from the Mail on Sunday in August. Our "requested dates" - dates at which we were free to travel - included the whole of April, May, June and September 2009 - not exactly restrictive, we thought... They offered us a flight on 30th March.
I don't think March is included in April, May, June or September - anyone else disagree? They say now that that is it - we won't be offered any other dates, we won't get our hard-earned £78 back. Who do you think is responsible - The Mail on Sunday, for running the promotion with Purely Creative who in turn employed Whoopydoo? Are Purely Creative at fault for not checking the ethical standards of Whoopydoo? Or is it just the cynical attitude of Whoopydoo themselves? I shall continue to try find out, as it seems these people currently have a licence to steal money, and that just ain't right!!
  • Sorry Beemer4, it states in the brochure I have that "preferred dates and destinations are for statistical information only as the holiday is subject to cost effective ticket availability, therefore you may be offered a date and destination other than those you have chosen". You were offered a date only a couple of days away from your requested dates, which under the circumstances is not too bad. It also states that your selected dates should be at least 12 weeks apart. These holidays are probably ideal for the single traveller, such as myself, who has no fixed working commitments but not for anyone looking to book their annual family break on specific dates.

Sadly you are probably too late to take up your voucher by now but Celtic sprite is entirely wrong.

I've just got back from my 3rd holiday with Whoopydoo and have saved a fortune. I've been to Malaga, Turkey and Greece.

The article on the independent link is very misleading as the only costs you have to pay are the taxes and airline fuel fee (when is this going to disappear now that oil is only $66??) which was £34 and £40 per person for me.

I've got no idea how they can afford to keep sending me on hols as there is no timeshare or anything dodgy like that. In fact, the last holiday was a thomson holiday.

    :money:

Seems the only posts you make are to praise whoopydoo :)

Nexuss – There’s nothing wrong with praising someone / something. This thread seems to be running Whoopydoo down, so I would just like to register my experiences with scratchcard holiday offers. And yes, I am a new member praising Whoopydoo but I have no connection whatsoever with the Company.
These cards appear to be issued by Purely Creative and I believe mine were found inside weekend newspapers, probably The Mail. It clearly states on the card the prizes that are on offer, and you can be pretty sure yours will be the one with the most number available. On that basis I have been happy to spend the £9 on the 6 minute premium rate telephone call in order to obtain my reference numbers.
Originally the holiday arrangements were operated by a company called En-fused and through them I was offered a 1 week All Inclusive holiday to Tunisia in February 2007.
I was given another 1 week All Inclusive in Tunisia in 2008, this time courtesy of Whoopydoo, who apparently had undertaken to honour the uncompleted applications from En-fused following their controlled exit from this market in late 2007.
In January this year 1 enjoyed 1 week in Majorca, and have just returned from 1 week in Turkey, both thanks to Whoopydoo.
I also have a 1 week holiday in Florida that was registered with En-fused back in 2005 and I have confirmation from Whoopydoo that this will be offered to me in due course.
Problems arise when people do not read or understand the terms under which these offers are made. It states in the brochure that I have that "preferred dates and destinations are for statistical information only as the holiday is subject to cost effective ticket availability, therefore you may be offered a date and destination other than those you have chosen". These holidays are probably ideal for the single traveler, such as myself, who has no fixed working commitments but not for anyone looking to book a break on specific dates.
