    Pannacotta for Valli's birthday!

    1 litre cream
    6 leaves gelatine
    6 tblsp caster sugar
2g vanilla (seeds scraped out of pod)
1 tblsp grand marnier (or other liqueur)

Heat cream and sugar over a low heat to dissolve sugar. Bring to boil slowly. When it boils, add vanilla. Boil hard, stirring constantly. Add gelatine, reduce heat and stir to dissolve. Boil hard. Remove from heat, add liqueur, pour into moulds and chill.

This can be made with anything from semi-skimmed milk to single cream... double cream makes it too solid... skimmed milk isn't really the same thing... apologies for the lack of timings, I don't know them, it should be obvious (!) when it's ready for the next stage!

  • Hi all, managing to keep up with some of the posts but not all of them. Managed Monday's tasks quite well but then the week went to pot - been a bit under the weather - not so much as some of you and then I had a training course an hour'd drive away on Wednesday - and all day - I'm normally a part timer! followed by a governor's meeting at school - so was very tired yesterday. Fortunatley I don't work Friday's so I have caught up today. I spent hte morning with mum at a MAcmillan coffee mroning selling raffle tickets - beautiful in the sun and a ready source of tea and cakes - so som etime off - then I flew for a couple of hours this afternoon before taking a break in the sun chatting to my (man) friend ;) . This evening has been a whirl of Mr T and taking the kids to choir/kid's club but now we're in and settled so thought I would tell you all what I've been up to - not much when I look at what you all seem to achieve but at least my house is cleaner and tidier - and the kid's are taking to their MACAWS really well - and I found my DS had cleaned the bathroom mirror without being asked. I've got my own ensuite andbut I had noticed theirs was a bit manky earlier in the week making a mental note to clean the mirror -imagine my surprise when I went to do it today and found it sparkly already - and he's not yet 12!! Evening everyone.

Just had a quick catch up of the thread. Was too tired when I came in last night.

Today have done dailies and 1 WM load.

Went out shopping for some moisture crystals and energy saving light bulbs. Got them at Wilkos.

Then this afternoon went and did my meeting and greeting.

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Valli!:bdaycake:

    Dusty Happy Anniversary!

Soappie Heinz ketchup in a glass bottle.

    Weeze 210 and Madcasey500 Welcome!

KAAT_LADY My cat Jake likes the biscuits but he has them all over the place. He tends to 'shout' first thing in the morning to be fed.

Mudbath Im excited for you. Im sure she will love you and she is so lucky to be getting a lovely home. Look forward to hearing all about her.

Polka Im sure the old mans granddaughter will enjoy your cake. £680 is a brilliant amount to raise for such a worthy cause.
