  • Hi all,

Dusty, so sorry I forgot to say Happy Anniversary... have a great day even without OH - I'm sure you will both make up for it when he is back...

been catching up on posts but not had time to post up till now - really busy morning - up at 5.30am and we had a visitor at 8.30am, so whole house had to be tidied (it was the milkman, shhh, don't tell hubby...) seriously, it was, but he is my BIL and was doing a round near us, so went right through the house and it was soooo easy, thanks to all of you, as I had done all the major stuff and it was just a quick tidy, S&S, dust and vacuum throughout, so just wanted to say a HUGH THANK YOU to everyone for all your lists and support... it does work! :D:D:D

Have also been busy booking holiday as tax refund paid into my bank today :j :j :j - we were going to go on 19th Dec - 2nd Jan - checked out flights (4 of us) - £1800  so are now going 12th - 26th Dec - flights now only £660 :T - amazing what a week does eh! I am so pleased as we haven't had a break all year and have had so many hassles at the beginning of the year so we really need this, and we know so many people over there, who know the kids, ect so it's like home from home without any of the 'family' hassles we would have over here ... all in all - good day today... hope everyone else is having one too ;)

Welcome Weeze - this site really is addictive!
Katt and Valli - Treacle yowls like a thing possessed when she is annoyed. Or hungry. Or wanting some attention. Or wanting to go outside, or if you pick her up. In fact, unless she is sleeping or eating or purring, she pretty much 'yells' at us all day, and she always sounds like she is in great pain when she does it!
serena - talking about gifts you wish you hadn't had. My mother gave me a second hand hoover for my 21st birthday because she thought my old one was a bit tatty. I can't tell you how disappointed I was and how upset that she and my sister thought it was an enormous joke that I wasn't able to hide my shock...
Kaat - my mother always cleaned the shower and sink etc while still naked after a shower and I have to admit I do the same sometimes..! I just try and avoid bleach, just in case of splashbacks (ouchies...

Ok, have to be getting along..

Hope you all have a successful day flying!

  • Have mopped all the wooden/tiled floors and been in the loft to fetch the coffee table that I've been meaning to put in the front room. Now having a well deserved rest with a cuppa and feet up on before mentioned coffee table.
    Still got to
    fetch kids
    make beds with clean linen
    feed kids
get wqashing in, fold and put away

Then I'm off out with my sisters and some friends for a pre wedding girly meal!

valli - is your mum a keen bootser?
No I don't think so - but I bet she'll have got some kind of offer...The joke in our family is that she'san M&S addict!
Gave it me in a lovely bag...she got a pressie from a friend in it 2 years ago and hasn't been able to reuse it up to now - but she has offered to take some of my bottle bag stash off me as she hasn't saved many of those! It's very green to reuse them!

Greenbee - pasta with broccoli and blue cheese (creamy danish on offer;)) was really yummy. Exactly my style of cooking too - no measuring just 'suck it and see'

Can you tell me how to make pannacotta purleeze? I love pannacotta too!
