toochoosey - don't get depressed by thinking about how much more you have to do, concentrate on all the things you have done.

(Flyladieswho have been here for a while can ignore this bit!)

My main bedroom was a dumping ground for about 15 years, as I was too busy with little children to ever get to grips with it. I spent all of last year's main bedroom days doing a bit at a time until it was finally clear enough for me to redecorate and have a wardrobe fitted in the New Year. It isn't finished yet - but thanks to embb I have found the bedside chest of drawers I want, and I can wait for the other bits, because it is already a far more tranquil space.

that's so true Serena when we think of what we have failed to do we end up with a negative attitude 'I have failed therefore I am a failure' - we need to focus on what we have done and know what we are capable of - that's why this site is sogood because we can post even minor achievments and get positive feedback from our fly friends here. I have not done brilliantly today (wonder why;) ) but I have still got a fair bit done. Mind you I was less than impressed when mum came down (with gift of protect and perfect and flowers no less!) and asked why I didn't do some batch cooking - err chilli portioned in freezer 2 x cottage pies made - one in freezer so I wailed - I did - yesterday! two lots of muffins in there (might take them to work mon as need to provide goodies for them :money: )
    Think positive!

    Carrot soup made
Kitchen cleared, sink is soaking in anticipation of being made vaguely shiny
WM and TD emptied and DW on
    Pantry shelves sorted out

I have 11 eggs plus whatever they lay today so I think I will do a naughty and self indulgent cake.

Your main item on the list today valli should read

    Have a fantastic birthday!!

So I hope that you're doing brilliantly on that one! The rest doesn't matter!

Not sure if you're pleased or not with the P&P - but reminds me that one birthday my mum gave me a book titled 'Ageless Ageing'. I wasn't that impressed at the time (I think I was still in my 20's) and gave it to Oxfam. Wish I'd kept it now.;)
